injectable ivermectin

Can anyone help me out with this?

I talked with our vet and he tried telling me to absolutely not use the stuff for dogs because you can kill them if you overdose. We have a bunch of hounds and a couple big Saint Bernards and how much cattle ivermectin would you give them?

1/10 th of a cc or ml per 10 lbs of dog weight so a 50lb dog would get 1/2 cc

I put on my two coonhounds and our little house dog, last week. They were full of fleas.

No ill effects and flea free now.

Used on my brothers dogs and my mother-laws also, they called and said the same.

Thanks for all the info,

Scott.

Home for vacation after 8 months away. My wifes yard dogs where covered in fleas and ticks. Yesterday applied the old faithful Bayer. 24 hours later no fleas one tick left so I picked him off. Crazy how good this stuff works.......

Bayer T&S WORKS!

Before Bayer T&S I was spending about $60 per month spraying pens & dogs. I've been using Bayer T&S for a little more than 2 years. For my dogs, the quart bottle (approx. $19) lasts for 2 years and this has made life MUCH easier for me AND my dogs.

Full Cry......

I tried this stuff for the first time around the 5th of July.....seems
to work real well. I might of over did it though....I put 20cc per
dog then rubbed it in. I squirted it down their backbone. My dogs
range in weight from 45lbs. to 110lbs. I didn't put it on their bellies I was afraid they would lick their bellies and it would make them sick. I also put the 'Cattle Ear' tags on their collars for tics these seem to work very well.

LOL, if you were looking for negative feedback, just come out and ask it.

Cause asking if anyone has tried it --- well the whole thread is about those who have. LOL

NEW "improved" Bayer Tree & shrub?

Ok, guys, I read, I believe so I went to buy this.
Lowe's has it, but now it's "improved" to "feed"
the trees & shrubs also.

Ingredients still says1.47% Imidacloprid
no other ingredients listed.

However it now has:
2% nitrogen
1% phosphate
1% potash

Does anyone have any information on how this
will affect the dog/cat if used on them, if it does
affect them at all?
Have any of your used it since it became
"protect & feed" tree & shrub?

Thanks so much,
Not a fancy breeder here, just a dog lover trying
to find something to help my poor boy who's
allergic to flea bites. (That's just cruel IMHO)

Bayer Protect & Feed

I am wondering the same thing as "lavrose" Is the new "improved" formula alright to use on dogs? Is the fertilizer component harmful in any way? The original post from "FullCry" listed only the original formula (without the fertilizer).

Original Formula vs. New & Improved Bayer

I looked up the Bayer Tree & Shrub, and it looks like the New & Improved is a concentrate, which may have a higher dose of the active ingredient & may not be safe for the dogs. But the Original Formula is called Landscape Formula, and I think that's the one that has the safe concentration of the active ingredient you've been discussing.

Thank you so much for this information. I've been searching for a less expensive way to control fleas this year because the cost of Frontline has gone up and I have more dogs now. I live in the country, so I needed something really good, and this Bayer Tree & Shrub sounds wonderful!

Someone mentioned cow ear tags for ticks that can be put on the collars, I've never heard of those. Do they have them at the farm supply stores? Are they safe for dogs?
