I do not know weather this works or not a lady at work sent

it to me but here goes if you want to try it

Tick Removal

A nurse discovered a safe, easy way to remove ticks where
they automatically withdraw themselves when you follow her
simple instructions. Read this one as it could save you from
some major problems.

Spring is here and the ticks will soon be showing their heads.
Here is a good way to get them off you, your children,
or your pets. Give it a try.

A School Nurse has written the info below--good enough
to share--and it really works!

"I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best
way to remove a tick. This is great because it works in
those places where it's sometimes difficult to get to with
tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of
dark hair, etc."

"Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick
with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few
seconds (15-20); the tick will come out on its own and be
stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away.

This technique has worked every time I've used it
(and that was frequently), and it's much less traumatic
for the patient and easier for me.."

Also, if you just pull a tick off, their heads sometimes break off
and are left under the skin so this is much safer. Be aware

also that a tick with a white speck on its back is a Deer
Tick, these can cause Tick Fever so check yourself and
your family good if you see any of these!

"Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can't see that this
would be damaging in any way.
Please pass on. Everyone needs this helpful hint.
=

Morn'n, clouds stating to move in, chance of rain Tuesday.

Corky, along with the water, we get skeeters. Warmed up well into the 70's yesterday and the are breeding well in the slough.

Nice pics, WB. Dont worry bout not taking the camera to the woods, we all know it would have just been useless weight anyway.

James I did have my camera on the last drop Sat night but was unable to use it as I was in a super stealth mode and I know nothing about the alien abduction of a red dog with 2 red blinking lights or why it quit barking or how the 2 lights just sudlleny dissapeared it was quit a discussion as me and willow was laying hunkered down in the field waiting for them to move on so we could get up and go across there driveway and threw there yard you know its funny how many strange things happen at 2 am

James, you should hear the real story. It was a typical WB outlaw coon hunt. He left out the part about the flashing blue lights on top of the cop car and the 2 guys riding around in the golf cart trying to catch him while he and Willow belly crawled out of there.

note everyone has taught there dog to belly crawl but it can be right handy and other thing I have no clue what that guy was yelling at on the tree before that I let BB out on the hardtop to go to Willow and Sheba while he was over there blasting away at Rickey some guy was out yelling according to garmin Willow and Sheba was on national forest

and one other thing the government is always passing the little ole pesky safety laws here is one that needs to be passed all door bell lights must be brighter so houses can be seen from futher away

Ask Ken about the little hike that he and Pastor Mike took. First we walked 600 yds up the side of a big ridge to the dogs and got them off of one tree. Then we cut them back loose and they went another 1.2 miles down off that ridge and up the side of the next mountain and got treed. They were only 700 yds from the next state, West Virginia. I went back to the cabin to get the truck and drive around. The dogs were treed 1.63 miles from were we started. Now that is as the crow flies and across a big ridge and almost to the top of the next mountain. Talk about "no guts, no glory".

HELLO TO ALL!

Hi Friends! (and any enemies reading too...LOL...)

Shannon, THANKS didn't want anyone worrying I was gone so long.....even if I warned y'all that weekends will be CRAZY till mum is HOME! You're a sweetie pie...I'll send you a free grade redbone pet as payment......LOL...

Dan W, thanks... you are a sweetie pie!

Cabin "hunters" looks like you all had a Great time but is there ANY picture evidenc that you REALLY hunted? lol.. I would love to see pix of the belly crawling myself!

I'm beat and hands are sore...as is the rest of me. Sat I went to Mums and cleaned, my sister Mart was still there to visit. BUSY day, worked hard but couldn't scrub floor as I wanted since SEVERELY asthmatic sister, Cass was there. SO I knew I'd be doing floor Sunday AND visiting mum. LUCKILY I decided to go in a bit later, visit mum first THEN clean. We had a FANTASTIC 3 hour lunch visit. She was having great day! I walked both ways and it was cool but Nice! Then I tackled house... once I started the kitchen floor... i was kneeling on the knee pad for 4 or 5 hours straight NOW I can't recall...lol... I ended up using alot of straight ammonia... so my hands, eyes, lungs, back, knees and brain are SHOT! lol.. the floor looks AMAZING! I was so happy to be done. Then I did a few other chores and decided If I didn't shower there... Id' never have energy at home...LOL.. I was SO DIRTY! I had the most incredible shower ever! Nothing special but I felt so CLEAN! lol... got home last night at 11:30. Slept, woke, slept a couple hours this am... and been doing stuff since.
NICE day! Was over 50. Of course with the snow(we had an official 22" here last storm!) on top of the blizzard snow we will have weeks of MUD! lol...
Mum had a tuff day today. Breathing not good and back on more O2... it seems to be up and down and she is on wait list with Pulmonary doc...go figure! She LOVES teh nursing home where her rehab is and says she wants to stay till off O2! I had such a great visit! Hoping she will indeed get home.... and love her life there....
OK, off to see all the news on here!
glad to be back... HappyHunting! Heather
