had a pretty good hunt tonight, 1 coon, 1 den, and the pup treed a possum and blew the top out of the tree. split treed and done a good job.

what a night, first drop hit a bad track, ended up on top of a ridge in a den. second drop, young dog goes a couple hundred yards down the holler and makes a few barks. sounds like he is treed. walk in to them, had a nice juicy skunk down. third drop, spot opens deep runs a track into a doze pile. fourth drop spot goes up the river and falls treed. get to him, it looked like a coon in tree not really for sure, was a leafy tree. what a night, got to love the bright, dry/hot nights!!!!!!

went for a short hunt tonight. spot and willie ran and treed one 400 yards away within 5 minutes. turned the pup loose by himself, he ran a short track and caught a possum on the ground.lol

Really? Sounds pretty good. Mine has been makin some trees too but I aint been able to find a coon yet. Leaves are still thick. Dont really know if Im just not seeing them or if hes treeing slick. I hope to get some down on him when these leaves thin out. Thats the only thing I hate about huntin a young dog this time of year. You dont know if hes doin right or wrong when you cant find the coon.
