Ty and I just got the dog kennels dug out. Good thing April is a little ways away. Hutch I don't know how you do it every year. I think the snow gets deeper and heavier every year. At least all the snow helps out the insulation on the house!!

Tim I was out in it the evening the snow came in. I was driving back from Independence on 24 hwy and between Lexington and Dover I hit a snow drift that was over the hood of the Ford. I was able to low-lock it and back up and turn around. I made it back to Buckner and stayed at the In-laws. I put the old truck through heck trying to make it back. Snow was up into the engine compartment, the belt was slipping, volt meter was setting at 8 volts, but it was still moving along.

Timmy has the fever, you might not have to wait till spring. He's wantin to go now!
I allways told him that you can't make a dog if you don't hunt and now he's useing that against me. He aint buying into the I'm getting to old excuse.
He wanted to go the night the big snow storm came in and I've been working some long crazy hours so I told him I would drive around the section and pick him up on the other side. That worked on the first section but on the second section we drove to within a quarter of the dogs and they were hammering a tree so I got out and walked with him. Anyway what I'm saying is I've created a monster. But I sure am proud.
He's wanting to go to Altoona tomorrow night no matter how deep the snow is. One thing about it, is that if a coon moves any at all, Smoke will get treed some where no matter how deep this stuff is.

Timmy didn't go to Columbus, we got another 3 or 4 inches of snow last night. It started in at 4:00 and snowed till about 8:00.
I talked to him just a little awhile ago and he is thinking about going to Altoona tonight. I'll call you later, I'm at work.

Timmy Hunted Smoke and got another nite ch win. I think he had 625 plus 225 circle and 150 minus. I'll let him post how the hunt went. He said they had as much snow as we got. Had a good hunt, the dogs scored on 4 coon. Smoke and a walker dog both had one coon each by themselves.

I was a spectator in Smokes cast at Altoona and he is all COONDOG! Put 3 on the outside in 14 in of snow. Way to go Timmy & Smoke!!!

Smoke is a nice hound. I have seen him tree several coon that other dogs don't even know are in the woods. He can really slam those pop up coon also. I look for Timmy and Roy to finish him this year. They also have a little female that is a half sister to smoke that is really crankin and she is suppose to be a harder tree-dog than Smoke. Look for Smoke and Robbin in the hunts this spring.......Tim
