I'm Back! WHAT a weekend with mum! lol... I'm exhausted. We had a blast.... SOme ups and some downs. Mums best friends husband has been in the hosp. on respirator and is now off, YAY! Then Sat night Mums friend(the wife) ended up in an ambulance to another hosp. with a stomach thing! Poor mum was so upset. She is home now and husb. is holding his own... The visit itself was awesome. I was looking thru old bibles and sermon books(in Greek which I cannot read)... from the 1800s...my Grandfathers. Pretty cool. I was also reading Uncle Remus outload to mum... in a great accent I must say.... another book from the 1800s... Lots of history and learning and love... a precious weekend with my old mum.... Got NOTHING done I wanted to... esp. not my Christmas cards "I was going to do in my SPARE time" lol We went to bed 1 am both nights... we SANG so loud on Friday I was sure the cops would come...lol.. Silly stuff...

james, Prayers to your grandmother...and mother. Lots of them!

Nice pix everyone! VERY nice. I am gonna see if I can catch up on here before I doze off... will see y'all later!

I'm on my way back home from Atlanta .. Been here all day , visiting my cousin ..at Emory hospital .. As I stood at the hospital closed room door ... I was praying ..God give me strength to face one of my favorite cousins whom I'm named after and share the same birthday with .... My eyes are watering and I fight back the tears ..that are building up in my eyes .. I gather myself and walk in the door ...as I first lay eyes on my sweet Allen shannon , I gasp for air .. I didn't not know the man laying in the hospital bed ... Thank Gos he was sleeping .. And did not see my face .. As I sat beside him he heard my voice and opened his beautiful blue eyes , with a half smile and called out my name ... Shannon ... I'm so glad you came .. As his hand reached out to hold mine ..for once in almost a life time my hands were warm and I could warm his cold white hands .. But our eyes spoke a million sentences ..with out saying but a couple of words .. Allen rested most of the time I was there .. God gave me strength to get thru the visit .. But wept uncontrollably when I return to the jeep .. Praying For Gods healing hand to touch my sweet cousin. That lays in the hospital bed with cancer giving him only days to be with us ..only 54 years old but resembles a 100.. I will never give up on my faith in what God can do !! I myself have seen blessings from The Lord ..so I'm asking every one to help me pray for a miracle for Allen .. Thank you very much .. I hope it's ok to write all this but if not ... Y'all blame James .. Because he said we can come to our thread and vent any time we wanted !! Every one .. Please don't complain about the small things .. Know that you are blessed with a great gift .. The gift of life !! Much love to you all !! And thank you for allowing me to vent !!

Nothing wrong with asking your friends to know what is in your heart!
I was in that seat once... with the mother of a boyfriend. SHe was so small and sick and was praying that God would take her... She was so strong in her Faith, going to Mass Daily but on that day she just wanted him to have MERCY and let her go.... I was so glad that he did not take her home that day. She had the most serious form of Malignant melanoma...and they used an experimental treatment that was very hard on her.... and she SURVIVED and it WAS a miracle. She lived quite a few more yrs and eventually succumbed to another type of cancer... but with less struggle and with her TOTAL FAITH in her loving God.....
WIll be praying for your cousin and so will Bob.

And prayers for you, you sweet and strong woman,

So sorry to hear about your cousin and my family is praying for him as well as for you and all your family. I too am glad to listen and read anytime.

Praying for your moms friends.

Not a bad weekend finally got my deer head I had mounted three years ago hung and dusted the trophies off. Treed a double on first drop Saturday night and then a hole. Friday night had some guys with some babbling hounds buster treed one but I think he even got frustrated with them. He would open the track and then they would fall in and pick a tree and start treeing. But was out in the woods so it was not all bad.
Time to get to work, I hope everyone has a good day.

I am hunting however I already have one spectator with me and I am guessing just like any hunt you can only have two.
I am not for sure that I fall into the elite category either.
Either one is more than welcome to tag along. I will be driving down Thursday evening/night.

THanks for the prayers for mum's friends. Holding their own for now... and hopeful the husband gets to rehab very soon!
I actually got a Christmas Card list done today, got the Hanukkah acrds ready to go out along with some of the Christmas cards...tons to go but I QUIT for the day! lol...

Pttm08, glad to hear you got your mount...wanna see pix!!! Glad you had a decent weekend and glad you'll hunt with SHannon... cause we get to have double fun hearing the stories that way!!!

I work with a lady her Grand Dad was Deputy Richards who was killed in that mess way back when I had already read a book that some lawyer had written a while back on it I can not remember the his name now or the books but he had some good pictures in it

And oh by the way David has a lot of Franklin County Roots I think that"s why he likes the apple pie so much
