I wish I was goin south with you, I'm sick of this stuff allready. I guess it gives the dogs time to rest up and maybe put some weight back on.
Danny called and said his Turk pup is treein with the other dogs and is goin with them deeper each time to the woods. He said this pup is the hardest tree dog he has ever seen. He's super happy with him.
Timmy and I are gettin a pup from Mike Hurt out of Turk and his GrNt Lucy female. This will be our third Turk pup and expect it to be as good as the others, bred like it is.

Looks like a good time for a visit and no hunt this time. Ole man winter just never wants to cooperate this time of year. Will probably throw some stuff in just in case but no need to freeze or have a dog get into trouble for this kind of weather.

That's probably a good plan Cheater. I remember a few years back me and a couple guys went to a PKC hunt. It was bitter cold they were making fun of me for not taking a dog. We came back home without one of the dogs that night.

Darren and Ty Batterson along with Kent Black brought my pups down and we had a good visit. To cold and to much snow for a hunt, enjoyed the conversation. Treed several coon and the dogs did't make any mistakes. In all the conversations some phone numbers were exchanged (right Ty). Maybe the next time we will be able to go to the woods and see some dog work......Tim

I had a kid convince me to go tonight. Hoss treed on 3 den trees and 2 other trees that had coons the boy got to shoot his first coon so walking in 10 inches of snowed payed off I really get a kick out of kids. This boy fell in the creek rolled in the snow and I don't think he would have quit if I had'nt told him it was time to pack it in. Man I wish I could still go like that lol.........Tom

It was -15 here this morning. Looks like we wont be going tonight either. I've only been out about 6 times since the end of November. It sure is hard to get a dog ready for the Winter Classic around here. The dogs and me are going nuts. Cant wait till spring.............Jon

Weather didn't bother me any last night. I got home fromm work at 6:30 and Timmy had allready left with the dogs so I had to stay home.haha He said Robin looked good, she treed the only two coon that he seen. He said he has had worst nights but he's had better too.

Hey take some pictures of huntin with no snow and the temps not in the low teens!
Timmy and I went last night. We are hunting Robin as hard as we can by herself getting ready for the hunts. We didn't do any good, ran an hard runnin boar coon on the first drop. Second drop she didn't even get a track goin. Third drop she ran a good track but put it in a barn a 100 yrds behind a guys house. By 11:30 we were cold and I'm still on 10 hour shifts at work so we went home.
