Someone asked about this dog. Why we never heard much about him. He was a born natural. He hunted medium, had a big bawl mouth on track and a hard bawl/chop on the tree. To the best of my knowledge, he never ran an off track in his life!!! I think he was only two years old when he died. He was only bred a few times. But the pups out of those litters were some of the best I ever hunted with. He was an eighty pound dog with plenty of leg to carry him. He made a lot of good track dogs look slow.... I just wish that I had been able to breed him to more females...

Pups are doing great, fat as butter balls. Just peeping there eyes open and starting to tick up a little. They are dark as you can tell with rich trim. 6 males, 0 females were produced from 1 tie up. Having a hard time with photobucket on sizing and posting sorry for the size of the pic.....I am a bit computer challenged.

The pups carry a good bit of Vaughn and Bragg bloodlines which contribute to the sire and dams great trailing and striking abilitys, these pups will be used on bear. All are spoken for and hope to have them on a few bear by yrs end.

The pups are very tightly bred, so it might work, and it might not?? I will just keep my fingers crossed. I was really looking for females, dang it, maybe next time if things work out right.

Now it's off to bath 10 head of hounds....joy joy.

What are both females being bred to? Anybody used pups out of these two on big game? The jewel females ped. really caught my eye.

pups from these bloodlines are known to take to bear or cat pretty easily. i have a 2 yr old male off jewel that likes to run bear more than coon! awhile back oscar thomas i believe sold some dogs to terry rigby out your way in utah that did real good on big game.they were bred very similar to jewel.
