All is well here. Just some high winds and small amount of rain.
Praying for all the families that have been hit hard by the storm.

All is well here. I hope everyone on here is as lucky as I am. There is still light rain but the wind has settled down. A lot of people around me lost power but mine stayed on. The creeks and ditches are overflowing but it could have been much worse.

I am praying for everyone with damage and losses.

Hi There!

Hey everyone!

We're doing fine here! Bob and I walked around the property last night and saw no damage at all. Today I walked around with the dawgs and.... a 42 foot beautiful spruce was uprooted! lol... It was our Chirstmas tree supreme... one of 2 beauties at the back of our land. I got some pix...hope to deal with them tomorrow...and show you all how pretty it WAS.... I told Bob I wanna water the roots till Christmas....and cut the top off as our tree this yr...he wants to SELL it on Craigslist...lol.. TONS of "FREE" trees on there today! We have our own chainsaw..... lol...
OK, My poor mum worried till tonight about my sister. My other sister Kate called her when she got home from work and said she had talked to Mart this morning(Mum was NOT happy Kate didn't call right away! DUH!! Kate is "not a worrier"....) Mart and Rob are OK. House was flooded thru the first floor That means the whole neighborhood was flooded. Their belongings were moved to the second floor (I am not sure if they just moved the stuff they "care about" or what...but anyway... the important thing is THEY are fine!
Have NOT heard from my nephew, Anthony today... He is in the area of Manhattan pretty badly hit and without power OR CELL service so not TOO worried.... since he has no way to get word out yet....
I got blood work results back today and yet again I have managed to have a Vitamin D deficiency! Jeepers! I have to take more supplements again...Grrrr! Worse than that I have to swear off my FRITO obsession. lol... I have ALWAYS had low cholesteral when tested. Here I am at 52 and Bob and I have taken to craving the crisp lard filled salty snack... and my cholesteral went UP! Akkkk! Now I have to DIET more, eat BETTER food, exercise more etc. Good news is... once my Vit D levels go up I may Feel Better again, not sleep all day 5 days a week, as well as nights AND... the aches and pains will lessen again. I seriously thought it was all from working 1 day a week (and I admit I felt like more of a wimp than ever!) I will also Probably get my immune system back on track. I wondered how I got a cold after a good long time with good vit. d levels and no colds...LOL....
The sad thing is looking BACK on this... I had signs, the headaches back, the worse fatigue, the worse aches and pains in my bones and certain muscles....
I have to say ONE thing to all of you... eat well and exercise faithfully. MORE importantly... if you have kids be SURE they drink milk and get some daily sunshine for Vit D! I did NOT drink milk... I ate cheese and we thought the calcium was enough...but they didn't supplement that with Vit D... I will pay the price in my old age since it effects the bones, teeth etc....
OH... and LAY OFF THE FRITOS! lol...
have a Great night all, and glad to hear you guys are all alright!
HappyHunting Heather

Good morning all,
Another chilly morning with some light wind. Supposed to have some scattered showers throughout the day.

Heather,
So glad to hear you had minimal damage and that your family is OK.

Need everyones advise on how to handle something. 2 months ago my son won an English sectional and got queen of show. The club said that the UKC did not seen them the trophy however once he got it he would mail it to me. I have contacted a guy I know in the club several weeks ago and it was always I will call so and so and he is mailing this week. Now two months later still no trophy. Now to me it is the principle that a 12 year old is looking forward to the trophy. We have already won several that collect dust quite well but he was looking forward to the big trophy. What can I do or would you do?

Morn'n, cool and a bit cloudy- no rain in sight.

PTT, UKC doesnt furnish trophies for these hunts. It is up to the club to furnish them. If it was a breed assoc. hunt, the breed assoc. may provide the specific breed trophies.

HappyHalloween!

Careful in da woods tonight!

Shannon, we will pray! Please get well SOON! Follow the Drs orders etc.... DO NOT be dumb like I can sometimes be!

Thanks for the thoughts all! And Corky, I WILL do what the Drs say! I know the drill with the Vit D and know it's not anything I did... as for the cholesteral... I will admit that has me scared! I ate a big salad tonight with tuna on it and less dressing(I make my own pretty healthy as it is)...and I did NOT add croutons! I also did a decent workout for lately anyway... Still feel pretty weak. Doesn't help I have the remains of the cold...But I WILL get better and will work HARD to do so!

I'll show you guys the tree we lost... it was a beauty!

Look at that Beautiful TOP!! sure would be a nice Christmas tree!

OH.. and here is a nice picture of Webster.... Pleas pretend his eyes are dark brown... I couldn't believe I got such a good shot of him...this is cropped... cause his body is kinda funny looking for a coonhound... but you can see the rest of the pix in my photobucket album...

Have a safe and happy halloween and happy hunting! and GET WELL SOON Shannon,
Heather

Good afternoon everyone. It is 40 degrees and still a light rain coming down.

Beautiful tree Heather, it is a shame it came down.

I hope everyone is doing well.

If anyone has any extra sunshine please send it to Ohio. I haven't seen the sun for a week.

HOW TO START A FIGHT
One year, I decided to buy my mother-in-law a cemetery plot as
a Christmas gift...

The next year, I didn't buy her a gift.

When she asked me why, I replied,

"Well, you still haven't used the gift I bought you last year!"

And that's how the fight started.....

________________________________

My wife and I were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed.

I turned to her and said, 'Do you want to have Sex?'

'No,' she answered.. I then said,

'Is that your final answer?'

She didn't even look at me this time, simply saying, 'Yes..'

So I said, "Then I'd like to phone a friend."

And that's when the fight started...

________________________________

I took my wife to a restaurant.

The waiter, for some reason, took my order first.

"I'll have the rump steak, rare, please."

He said, "Aren't you worried about the mad cow?"

"Nah, she can order for herself."

And that's when the fight started.....

_______________________________

My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school
reunion, and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging his
drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.

I asked her, "Do you know him?"

"Yes", she sighed,

"He's my old boyfriend. I understand he took to drinking
right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear he
hasn't been sober since."

"My God!" I said, "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"

And then the fight started...

________________________________

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting
to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had
something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat,
making beer.. Always something more important to me. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.

When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall
grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing
scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into
the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again
I handed her a toothbrush. I said, "When you finish cutting the
grass, you might as well sweep the driveway.."

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

______________________________

My wife sat down next to me as I was flipping channels.

She asked, "What's on TV?"

I said, "Dust."

And then the fight started...

________________________________

Saturday morning I got up early, quietly dressed, made my
lunch, and slipped quietly into the garage. I hooked the
boat up to the van and proceeded to back out into a torrential
downpour. The wind was blowing 50mph, so I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather
would be bad all day.

I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back
into bed. I cuddled up to my wife's back; now with a different
anticipation, and whispered, "The weather out there is
terrible."

My loving wife of 5 years replied, "And, can you believe my
stupid husband is out fishing in that?"

And that's how the fight started...

_______________________________

My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming
anniversary.

She said, "I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in
about 3 seconds."

I bought her a bathroom scale.

And then the fight started......

______________________________

After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply
for Social Security.

The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's License to verify my age.

I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at
home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have
to go home and come back later.

The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt'.

So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair.

She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for
me' and she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office. She said, 'You should have dropped
your pants. You might have gotten disability too.'

And then the fight started...

________________________________

My wife was standing nude, looking in the bedroom mirror.

She was not happy with what she saw and said to me,

"I feel horrible; I look old, fat and ugly. I really need you
to pay me a compliment.'

I replied, "Your eyesight's **** near perfect."

And then the fight started........

________________________________

I rear-ended a car this morning...the start of a REALLY bad day!

The driver got out of the other car, and he was a DWARF!!

He looked up at me and said 'I am NOT Happy!'

So I said, 'Well, which one ARE you then?'

That's how the fight started.
