Dan,
I think you have that wrong the English started the coon chasing, now when the misfits started coming out they were kicked out and made to start there own club.
Now before Shannon gets mad at me as you can see the Blue's have made a comeback and are welcome back to our family. The Holsteins we threw them out to pasture.
LOL

"The variation in color is another aspect of English Coonhound history. Both the Treeing Walker and the Bluetick Coonhound were originally registered with UKC as English. The Walker was recognized as a separate breed in 1945, and the Bluetick a year later. There are still tri-colored and blueticked English hounds, though redticked dogs dominate in the breed today."

WB woke up hungover this morning around 8 a.m. to the sound of his neighbor mowing his yard. He was going to get up and yell at him but then he thought the heck with it, that guy can mow around him.

A couple is in bed sleeping when there's a rat-a-tat-tat on the door. The husband rolls over and looks at the clock, and it's half past 3 in the morning.” I’m not getting out of bed at this time," he thinks, and rolls over. Then, a louder knock follows. So he drags himself out of bed, goes downstairs, opens the door, and there's a man standing there. It didn't take the homeowner long to realize th...e man was drunk. "Hi there," slurs the stranger, "Can you give me a push?" "No, get lost. It's half past three and I was in bed," says the man as he slams the door. He goes back up to bed and tell his wife what happened and she says, "That wasn't very nice of you. Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick the kids up from the baby-sitter and you had to knock on that man's house to get us started again? What would have happened if he'd told us to get lost?" "But the guy was drunk," says the husband. "It doesn't matter," says the wife.” He needs our help and it would be the Christian thing to help him." So the husband gets out of bed again, gets dressed, and goes downstairs. He opens the door, and not being able to see the stranger anywhere, He shouts, "Hey, do you still want a push?" And he hears a voice cry out, "Yeah, please." So, still being unable to see the stranger he shouts, "Where are you?" The drunk replies, "Over here, on the swing."

5 stages of hunting

1) SHOOTER STAGE
The hunter talks about satisfaction with hunting being closely tied to being able to “get shooting.”

2) LIMITING OUT STAGE
A hunter still talks about satisfaction gained from shooting. But what seems more important is measuring success through the killing of game and the number of birds or animals shot.

3) TROPHY STAGE
Satisfaction is described in terms of selectivity of game

4) METHOD STAGE
This hunter has all the special equipment. Hunting has become one of the most important things in his life. Satisfaction comes from the method that enables the hunter to take game. Taking game is important, but second to how it is taken.

5) SPORTSMAN STAGE
As a hunter ages and after many years of hunting, he “mellows out.” Satisfaction now can be found in the total hunting experience. Being in the field, enjoying the company of friends and family, and seeing nature outweigh the need for taking game.

Where is the Passing it on Stage? Where there is more satisfaction when you are the one that provides or plays an integral part in a kid's or new hunter's having a successful hunt.

Morning all
55 degrees out this morning.
Stayed at home last night trying to get the house in order before the boss comes back home.
Dan,
As long as tthey run, bark, and put a coon up the tree they are alright by me.
Don't tell Shannon but I was actually looking at some red dogs last year before I got mine.
Now I am stuck on blue and hoping on day to have some little blue one's running around.

Hope every one has a great day.
