BIGCASTLEDAWGS,

THANKS. I KNOW I AM GLAD TO BE BACK ON. AS FOR THE PHONE RINGING, WHEN MY WIFE AND I HAD THIS HOUSE BUILT TWO YEARS AGO, WE DECIDED NOT TO HAVE A LAND LINE INSTALLED. WE HAVE FOUR CELL PHONES HERE. I WAS A LITTLE HESITANT BUT I LIKE IT NOW. I TURN MY CELL OFF AND TAKE A NAP WHEN I WANT ONE.

THE GUY FROM THE PHONE COMPANY TOLD ME THAT ALOT OF NEW HOLMES ARE USING CELL WITH NO LAND LINES. HE ALSO SAID HIS NEW HOME WAS GOING TO BE THAT WAY. AS FOR THE MINERS I HOPE IT ALL WORKS WELL FOR THEM. THAT MINER SCUPTURE OF YOURS SOUNDS NICE. THE MASCOT OF THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL HERE IS THE MINERS. THE MOUNTAIN RIDGE MINERS.

Hey Rob

That is a COOL mascot! I suppose around here alot of folks would be Anti Miner, but I respect the people who work so hard in such dangerous conditions! My grandfather on my mother's side was a Greek Orthodox priest and somewhere in cyberspace there is an article about him working on a miner's strike... way back when(My mum is 91 and he died when she was a baby...) I always wanted to learn about different careers and lifestyles as a kid... and I guess that is what made me research to do the sculpture. it was def. one of my best... and I KICK myself for getting rid of it... I never did much later on since I got so into the horse career... then when I got hurt I was limited in what I could do... No Complaints though.. I have lots of great memories and stuff to do!
AS for the phone... with my Mum being 91... I can't bear the thought of turnign off the dumb phone.. AND.. we do NOT get cell reception here well.. no matter WHAT Company... so not a great option... I grew up in a house with tons of rooms and TONS of phones and phone lines and intercoms... My father was a Dr and his office was the first floor of the house (My mum still lives there!).. I Have NEVER had the option of no phones. One thing though... my dad never did get a cell phone in his lifetime. He decided the car was the ONLY time he was not available EVEN for Emerg... Besides... I got HIS genetics with Technical stuff..LOL.. he'd have been lost, I'm SURE the man had NO CLUE how to type... I sure do miss him...

OK.. enough babbling... Sorry, I'm so overtired at this point I"m wordier than ever... I think I'll sign off and FORCE myself to get some sleep tonight!
Have a GREAT night! Heather

HEATHER,

I UNDERSTAND TOTALLY ABOUT THE PHONE AND WANTING TO STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOUR MOM. WHAT TYPES OF HORSES DO YOU HAVE? MY FATHER HAS HALFLINGERS AND SHOWS THEM. MY BROTHER LIVES IN IDAHO HE HAS A FEW QUARTER HORSES AND USES THEM FOR HUNTING AND CAMPING. MYSELF I DO NOT FOOL WITH HORSES. I WILL STICK WITH DOGS. ALTHOUGH I WOULD LIKE TO GO ON A HUNTING TRIP WITH THE HORSES. I HAVE HUNTED ELK, WHITETAILS AND MULE DEER WITH HIM, BUT WE NEVER TOOK HORSES. I WILL HAVE TO ASK HIM WHY.

CATCH YOU LATER.
ROB

REB
DID YOU GET TO VISIT GETTYSBURG ANY WHILE ON YOUR TRIP? I HAVE BEEN THERE TWICE. A PERSON COULD VISIT THERE ALOT AND STILL NOT SEE OR UNDERSTAND IT ALL. IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE GET THE PAPERBACK BOOKS CALLED THE GHOSTS OF GETTYSBURG BY MARK NESBIT. THEY ARE INTERESTING TO READ. HE WAS A FEDERAL PARK RANGER AT THE PARK FOR A FEW YEARS.

Prayers up for those who got the miners out so safely!!! I just heard the last one had made it out and is with his family. HOW wonderful that must be! If that doesn't move you, your the tin man made over.......

Also....in Aiken, SC today we are putting to rest a YOUNG fallen soldier who died in service to this country. There are supposed to be protesters at his service.....please take a second and thank God for our freedom, and just pray that this brave young man's family is SPARED from any negativity while they say their final goodbyes to this fallen hero! It sickens me that people can be so callous.....they say it is their RIGHT, Freedom of Speech and all....without such people as this yound man, they would have such freedom! They should RESPECT that!!!!

Good morning!

We got a few sprinkles during the night. Pretty warm 61 here.

Yes I watched the rabbit hunting show. Good to see those little short legged things run but not like coon hunting. One of em actually caught a rabbit but I don't know why the rabbit didn't run. They tried to edit it out I think. You know how it is these days with the animal rights people always snooping! I agree they were mostly too yip yip for me. One of em had a pretty good squall.

I use to have a pair of mixed breed Beagles that would run the hide off a rabbit. They ran a lot harder than the ones in the show. They would put them in a hollow or in the ground. They would tree squirrels too but would just sit under the tree and not bark up it. I think squirrels might be trash for rabbit hunters. I don't know.

It was great to see some of them had made it out and will be even better when they all are out! Yes it is a shame people have to act the way they do. It's a sad situation the condition our county is in today... and the World as well!

CLEO,

THOSE PROTESTORS HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO IN LIFE THAN AGGREVATE PEOPLE. THEY PROBABLY ARE PROFESSIONAL PROTESTORS AND WILL PROTEST ABOUT ANYTHING. MOST OF THEM PROBABLY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE PROTESTING ABOUT.

THIS BUNCH THAT PROTEST AT FUNERAL OF SOLDIERS SHOULD BE RUN OUT OF THE GOOD OLE US, THEY ARE NOT TRUE AMERICANS.

ROB

Hey all. The beagles were a little squeeky for my liking too but overall seemed ok. I think we're just used to the bigger hound voices. I've owned several beagles and never had one sound like that though. Weather was cool and crisp this morning. Heading down to Fulton County again this Saturday night to run the dogs.

Hey Everyone!

Just now getting on here... Computer was feeling a bit... Off today...
WEATHER was GLORIOUS! 37 chilly degrees this morning, sunshine...Great walk with the mutt. Got some pix BUT wont get them on today... (big headache)... Tried to get some fall leaves pix to share...even though the cam STINKS!

Rob, I don't have horses any more. When I had my accident in 97 I hurt my neck enough to have to stop riding. That wasn't that big a deal to me BUT... My brain injury made me quit teaching riding which was my love. In my teaching we had all sorts of breeds. I taught English... hunters, jumpers and dressage and eventing... I had been a therapeutic riding instructor and would have been doing that again eventually I taught head injured people along with all sorts of other disabilities... In the Other end of the horse career I did race horse rehab here with a vet, thoroughbreds...real nice ones... Having that sort of horse flesh here was an honor. LOVED that stuff since I love medical stuff... One of our neighbors has halflingers he and his little girls drive and ride... I bet a horse to hunt with would have to be very well schooled. They aren't as "calm" as mules... But some people have success with them.
Johnny, knew you'de get a kick outta the pix... He IS an interesting dawg... and he REALLY wanted those marshmellows! LOL..
Cleo... REALLY glad the radio station helped out. Protesters should leave those funerals ALONE! Twits! Also been praying for the miners and families! I cried at one of them getting out this AM...and hugging his daughter... TOUCHING! I pray they do NOT have PTSD issues cause it stinx to have it.... TONS!
OK.. gotta finish seeing wassup on here and get off the computer...
Will see if ANY of the pix come out good enough to post tomorrow!
have a GREAT NIGHT! HappyHunting Heather
