"JET LAGGGGGGggg"
Still in vertual LaLa land from all the travel & excitement this weekend but however long it takes it was well worth it!!
We got the pleasure of meetin up with an old freind, several really I guess, But John Gill invited us'ta bunk at their families cabins along the river & a couple huge ponds. They say they are full of fish which I came prepared to pursue. Trouble is with meetin's & events goin on there really wasn't barely a spare second to give it a go. The sun was bustin all three mornins before we got bedded down.
Dan hunted "Duke" in the young guns gig. He looked really good even though he didn't win the cast. He treed a coon alone & a den. Might add he was blowin them down. No problemo hearin the lad..... Was the beginning of the "one'szzz's" for us, two nights it was one & friday none seen.
Dan Hunted "Patch" in Gr's friday & saturday,he looked real good for the lack of coon cooperation. He ran one decent track alone to some buildings rite off then came back & worked a cold track alone Deep, sat down & made that chunk of countryside ring with his loud poundin. Other dawgs where treed then to. I enjoyed the entertainment from the cab of my truck playin solitaire on my lap top while grinnin over the racket ..
Saturday night was kinda the same gig. He was on his loner gig. Put two in the ground they had'ta get him outa. In that same spot he ended up a mile the opposite direction from where they had re'cut. Fired up alone down in the big valley along the river,he rolled up on a big tree leanin over the river which was to deep to be playin "Find the Coon". Mercy he was poundin on that one. That was circled. Last dump they dumped'um rite on a track & they ended up split on two pines. "Patch" was alone 15 yards from the others. Couldn't find either coon. He ended up havin like 700 circle. Did snag -75 for not likin the company that showed up on his parade once.
We didn't have luck gettin'ta see coon but very happy with how they operated. Both showed they don't need any help & your gona know when there hooked. The compliments where overwhelming on our father & son team while waitin'ta show'um. THANK YOU everyone..!
Our gatherin at the Gill's cabins was pretty cool! Ms Debbie, Matt Turner & his mainsqueeze, Yancy Goodlock.
We wana thank John,Ed,Josh & of course Mrs Gill for their hospitality, cookin up the ribs saturday night,{they was goood!} among other things. Couldn't have been more enjoyable journey for me,cloudy & all.
Gota thank Dan,Kali & Brandon for the memorable trip. We Had a Blast!!!
I'ma payin for it but thas fine to experience what I did!!
