We will bring the horses out to my house and ride the power lines ..Lindz , after months of searching found her saddle she wanted ..thank goodness !! It is a simple black but beautiful saddle ...(2nd hand but almost new..she's smart with her money) boy ... I'm glad she found one ..she was getting fustrated .. So we'll try it out today !!
John I do have a good story ...remember the gator ken and Andy got? Well come to find out that it's the 3rd largest in the state of GA. Or the 3rd on record in this area... Heck I can't remember .... And if you look online at the Augusta newspaper there is a half a page write up about it .. Even tho a little bit of info is incorrect.. Ken killed the gator but Andy had the tag, Andy got the second shot and the boat is ken's .. John .. It was really huge !!! I've never seen such ...
John ... I hope you're doing well and have had a great weekend .. It's nice posting with you !!

Good morning corky !! I'm glad that your friend wasn't as serious as we thought !! I was praying for him. God is MORE than just good !!

Shannon

I looked the gator story up on line. I enjoyed reading it, congratulations to the successful hunters.

I think you would get pretty cold up North when we turn the dogs loose when the weather is in the low 20"s.

Thanks John !!
I would !!! I'd have to have a LOT of hand Warmers !! But I get so excited while hunting I don't think about it until I'm standing still !! Lol I posted a pic a long time ago of me and ol rambler ... Showing me full of mud higher than waist deep and it was 28 degrees .. And I had to walk back to the truck like that !!! Lol .. Those blueticks treed 2 miles away from the truck .. Lol . I had a blast .. It seems to me .. When you love what you do.. You don't pay to much attention to the things that usually bother ya .. Lol .. But truthfully ., I don't like cold weather .. I love the hot summer .. Lol .. But not to humid !!

HELLO!

Hi Everyone!

Corky, Hope your friend gets totally well very fast. Glad it was not worse than it is... we will PRAY!

I'm BUSHED but decided to come say HI! Bob and I had a Great time visiting with friends in RI yesterday. Cookout with steamers(YUM!) in the aftn and then a concert at a beautiful park. We went home just before dark cause one of the women was not dressed warmly enough. We were cause WE rode the bike! After the concert we had coffee and dessert at the friends house and got home in time to give Webster his meds! The ride home in the cool early fall late summer weather was BEAUTIFUL! I was warm in my leather coat with liner and gloves. Perfect! Only problem was we BOTH forgot to bring light goggles so it was...kinda DARK! lol
Today I worked for mum only 3 hrs So I would miss the Patriots home opener traffic...I DID hit traffic in my home town first thing in the morning though! LOL... Go Figure they had a BIG football game there! lol...
All in all a good day, beautiful cool weather and... now I'm fighting the sandman! Have a Great Night everyone!
HappyHunting Heather

Coast Guard rescues six from Gulf of Mexico near Carabelle, Fla.

Coast Guard rescues six from Gulf of Mexico near Carabelle, Fla.
NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued six people from the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 25 miles from Carabelle, Fla., Saturday.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile, Ala., received a call from 43-foot vessel Dirty Pool reporting that the vessel was taking on water. The vessel had launched from Carabelle at 7:30 p.m., Friday, with six people aboard for a fishing trip. Shortly after the initial notification, Sector Mobile received two automatic notifications from Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons in the vicinity of the Dirty Pool’s reported location.
Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Fla., launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and crew and located the six individuals in the water 25 miles offshore. The group used marine signal flares to alert the Coast Guard crew to their location. All six people were wearing lifejackets.
“The rescued crewmembers demonstrated exceptional preparedness, greatly expediting our recovery efforts,” said Chief Petty Officer Brenda Doris, a search and rescue coordinator at Sector Mobile. “This serves as a reminder to all mariners that preparedness and proper safety gear are critical.”
The aircrew transported the six individuals to awaiting emergency medical service personnel at Apalachicola Bay Municipal Airport in Franklin County, Fla. All six people were able to walk off the aircraft unassisted.
The Coast Guard recommends that mariners wear a properly fitting Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times while underway. According to the Coast Guard's Recreational Boating Statistics 2011 report, the most current verified statistics available, of the 533 people across the nation who drowned in recreational boating accidents in 2011, 84 percent were not wearing a life jacket.
A life jacket can't save your life if you're not wearing it.
Click here to learn more about life jackets at the Coast Guard Boating Safety Resource Center.

Same here, but they are out of control now in some places. we have retired military snipers running a couple of pay hunts. they are using infra-red optics. 1 farmer that they hunt on his land said it is amazing how them boys can shoot.

A blonde pushes her BMW into a gas station. She tells the mechanic it died.
After he works on it for a few minutes, it is idling smoothly.
She says, "What's the story?"
He replies, "Just crap in the carburetor."
She asks, "How often do I have to do that?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2012 Emergency Survival Kit

Published on Monday, 02 January 2012 06:48

Items you will need in your Redneck Emergency Preparedness Kit

Smokes and Chew: Marlboro Lights for a category one hurricane or tornado, Marlboro Mediums for a category two or three, Marlboro Reds for a category four. You need a serious smoke for a serious hurricane. Chew is important because it counts towards your daily supply of vegetables.

Booze: Hide the Budweiser and have a couple cans of Milwaukee's Best in case strangers stop by or you need to barter with neighbors. Follow this safety rule for consuming alcohol in emergency situations: beer for morning and Jack Daniels for afternoon and evenings. If you are too drunk to walk then use your ATV otherwise it will take you forever to get anywhere.

Food: Slim Jims and if you want to live large get some mustard for dipping, beef jerky, pork rinds and anything that was on the table that the dogs didn't eat or wasn't sprayed with Raid when you were clearing cockroaches during dinner.

A Boat: A true redneck has a boat in his yard for years at a time without ever using it once. That's because it's for emergency purposes. I highly recommend a two-stroke motor that will always start after it's kicked a few times. Preferably that motor will be a Johnson, because jokes about your Johnson never get old.

Pickup Truck: A redneck is a man that has less than 50% of his vehicles running at any given time. It's easy to tell the vehicle that is driven the most by counting the 7-11 hotdog containers on the floor. But, when a hurricane hits, it's certain that a redneck in a Ford F-150 that is held together with bondo will be pulling your Lexus out of a ditch. And remember, that's not just a redneck's truck; it's where his kids were conceived so understand that bench seat is sacred ground.

A Dog: A dog will tell you if something is edible or not.

A Flashlight: You need one in addition to the light the family uses at night to go out to the bathroom.

A Radio with a Powerful Speaker: That way you have something to drown out the wife, kids, mother-in-law, your sister-in-law Crystal, your sister Crystal, cousin Crystal, and your neighbor Crystal and her daughter little Crystal.

Home Security System:

Buy a pair of size 14-16 work boots. Put them on the front porch with a copy of your most recent assault charge.

Put some giant dog dishes next to the boots and court papers.

Leave this note on your door: "Jake and Buster: I went for more ammo & beer. Back soon. Don't mess with the pit bulls; they messed the mailman up bad this morning. I don't think Satan took part; hard to tell from all the blood. I locked all four of 'em in the house. Better wait outside. Be right back. The cops will be back too.

Guns and Ammo: I'm not talking about the magazine. Looters will be shot on sight and their loved ones can buy their watches and rings back from the pawn shop.

And personally, I'd like to say that if you have a gun, then squirrel is always on the menu if a disaster causes the traffic to be bad.

Get yourself prepared in case you have a shortage of rednecks in your area. Don't expect the government to be able to get to you or provide for you. And of course, stay loaded my friends.

Corky ... Don't you be working to hard !!
This is a pic of Christians Bluetick Roo . I've been working with her each day ..she is so shy , that she want let any one touch her but me, Christian and Lindz .. She really freaks out if some one else is around her .. Especially men .. I have been taking her to Christians football practices just to walk her around so she will see people and learn not to be afraid .. I've also been taking her hunting with jack several times.. Just to walk around in the woods . Roo stood close to jack a couple of times while hunting (for a second ). I have seen a little progress with her .. One thing that is nice .. Is it don't take much to correct her .. Anna on the other hand was WIDE open ..all the time !! Lot of difference .. I had a stop by my sons work tonight and had one of his friends try to touch her .. She allowed it for one sec, and moved to the other side of the jeep .. I was excited !! I pray she will some day not be so far full of others ..
