Sheba 11

Went down river a few miles tonight. Cast Sheba into an oak and Cyprus bottom with a slough in the middle of it. she went in a little over 100 yards and struck a working track. There must have been more water in there than I thought, because I could hear her doing a lot of splashing. She worked it on around another 200 yards and treed. I went around to another field and she was about 50 yards in. I walked in to her and she was treed up a large hardwood tree with another one about the same size standing right beside it. I shined for a few minutes, but never could getto where I could see any of the tree. I cast Sheba on from there and she struck again about 400 yards. This one was a pretty good track and she was moving it goo down the slough. I decided I had better catch up. I thought she was farther down the slough than she was. When I stopped the 4-wheeler The slough that she was on was on my right and she had done crossed the woods road that I was on and was running on my left. She made a circle through some 20 year old planted pines and crossed the road again not far behind me. Now I'm sure a lot of you have done this before. When Sheba got to where I had either crossed that coons track or the coon had come towhere that 4-wheeler had run and turned and went back the way that I had come. I don't know what it did, but that was the end of the track for Sheba. She sure tried. She crossed thru there several times trying to pick the track up. I watched her on the garmin, she went back a couple of times and followed the track back to where she lost it, but never picked it up. I've done this a few times back thru the years. I don't know what that 4-wheeler does, but it completely covers the track. We moved on down the swamp and I cast her again. She went in 500 yards and struck a cold track. She moved it in a ways and crossed another slough and treed. I went around on another road and got within 100 yards of her and walked on in. She was on a big den tree. We walked back to the 4-wheeler and called it a night.
