I droped Wendy off at the vets this morning and she will be bred useing Jet V semen that Mark and Corey Robbins shipped to us. Its finnally time!!!
Timmy and I talked last night and decided to hold off on breeding Robin this go around. We need her this fall for kill season and for trainning pups.

Roy the timing is great! Keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for the best! They will be in the hands of coon hunters! Robin is young and Deal is real young so you still have time for that cross! Those young hounds should keep Robin busy this winter!

Roy we took Hanna and Riptide tonight. First dump was on oil creek Hanna got kind of left out, Tide treed on the other side and had it. Second dump she looked real good on a hot track and they had two kittens. Held Riptide back a little so Hanna could get all the tree she wanted. Turn loose one more time and headed them off at the pass and called it night. Not too bad for 7 months, may be a little too hard on her!! Think she is growing any?

Roy we made two drops tonight with Hanna and Tide on the river. Two trees and four coons, the tree they are on in picture had three kittens in the two trees. Hanna started out a little wild but did real good tonight running and treeing. Had a slight malfunction in equipment and headed home after that, getting it fixed tomorrow! Hope your shoulder is getting better and hoping old Wendy is doing fine as well!

Love seeing the pics of Tide and Hanna. Sounds like she is doing great.
We are just getting our acts back in the swing of hunting. Hannas littermates are going into training this week. They both got to see a big ole coon up close and they circled and barked their heads off . They were both real carefull how close they got though.LOL They are ear spliting loud too.
Getting ready for the hunt at Altoona next weekend.That will be the last Zone 1 hunt for the year. Takeing three young dogs all out of Smoke.

Roy we are going to take Hanna on her first night solo hunt either Monday or Tuesday night. I know her hunt will drop off some but I bet she will still get in there because she has the drive, time will tell. Would like to see her get a few good tracks off the bat to kick start things off right, Corey gets pretty impatient kind of like me in my younger days!

Roy here are the results of Hanna's first hunt by herself. First dump she did not hunt very good but did not hit a track either, did walk her some. Second dump pretty much the same so I sat on the tail gate and when she came back I loaded her up. Third dump she fired in there and struck about 75 yards and ran hard in a corn field and then down the river bank for about 340 yards and gave three nice bawls and rolled it over. Treed pretty darn good for treeing by herself. It was a very large Maple tree and I could not find it. May not have had it but she sure thought she did. Corey has been sick and did not go so he got left out her first trip / tree, his loss! LOL!

Hanna sounds like she is getting it figured out. Great start for a 7 month old puppy.
Wont be long and I will be putting some picks of Hannas littermate bro and sis on here. They are over the top gamey pups that have so much want to in them that they go crazy over a cage coon. Due to Tim getting married this summer and me bustin up my shoulder our pups are way behind. What little we did mess with them you couldnt ask for more.
This is going to be a busy kill season working young dogs.
Got some Smoke pups that are being singled out right now and they are well above average pups. At a year old they are looking like dogs that allready have had a kill season on them.
They have over the top drive and ability that makes you like them. Super quick strike dogs that are lookin for a tree with the coon.
Going to the Altoona zone 1 show and hunt this weekend with Donk, Hic, and Ralph

Thanks Tim, we try to get them in the woods and put a few down on them and give them a chance. I figured the first couple hunts she would have to figure the hunting out by herself. After that tree last night she was fit to be tied. Taking her again tomorrow by herself for the second round. Hanna for a pup can really run a good track, no standing on her head. Just hoping she continues to advance to the next level. Hope you and little brother Paul are doing fine, tell Paul we said Hi!

Donk won his first NT CH cast tonight but didn't have enough to get the win. But did give him 4 cast wins at Zone 1 hunts making him BBOA Zone 1 2014 Nite Hunt Champion. Dad hunted Hic tonight and she won 2nd place open reg. She also won ch female today and was Overall Best of Show. I think that will make her Zone 1 Queen of Show. Jim Combs won ch male with Combs Big Time Blue Jack and was Opposite Sex Overall Best Of Show. Donk, Hic, Jack, and Ralph are all off of Smoke.

We had a really good weekend and proud of our wins.
Smoke was represented by 4 pups out of three different bitchs.
Donk and Hic are littermates out of Smoke X Drizz (Ucthman)
Ralph is out of Smoke X Blueberrie ( old Mad Dog breeding)
Jack is out of Smoke X Pearl (Pop a Top)
Had a lot of fun and the Altoona guys are a riot to fellowship with and hunt with.

Roy we took Hanna and Riptide tonight and Corey was kind a Shock about how Hanna did tonight, hell he thought maybe she has turned the corner. LOL! Hanna did very good on the first two dumps but the third dump they fell in there about 875 yards and she blew the tree down all the way to her and after we got there. Season is right around the corner and we will get her a few more coons down and it should get her clicking on all cylinders! I knew getting her out a few nights by herself was the right thing to do, more of the same coming. Hunted the big Ohio River and the coons were really moving for a full moon. Looking pretty good huh?

Hanna looks great on those trees.

I think Wendy is starting to show. I got her to heavy but I stil think she is pregnant.Still geting calls about pups out of her and Jet V. Just have to wait and see how many she has.

We got Smoke and Donk entered in the Misouri Coon hunters Federation Invational Finals this weekend. Timmy is hunting Smoke and I will hunt Donk in it. Ole Smoke is way to fat for it but I think he will make up for it in drive and desire. The old dog thrives on compition.
There are around 80 dogs entered and we will all hunt friday night and the top 16 cast winners advance to the sweet 16 early round saturday with the four early round cast winners will make up for the final 4 in the late round saturday night.

Smoke came out of retirement and made the sweet 16 at the mchf invitational finals. Won his cast with 425+ Had 2nd and 1st on first coon and shut them out on the 2nd coon. He looked pretty good for not being in the woods since may. Lol. We will see if we can get lucky again tonight.
