Can you tell that colt was about 10 feet from the first coon when he shot it with a 12 guage 3 1/2 inch magnum steel shot in the head. We was on a Wildlife Management area and had to use a shot gun cause no rifles were allowed.

I would have used a 4_10 but i dont have any steel shot for it. It's law around here near water you have to use steal. So I used my left over Steal shot from last years Duck season. Took 5 shots to kill the 2nd coon. He was in top of big oak tree and was almost out of range for the shotgun. I didnt think he was coming out for a while. I prefer the 22 rifle but i cant carry it in some places that i hunt.
