Denny Hamlin has the pole, Bad Brad 2nd, Harvick 3rd, Joey Logano 4th and Gordon 7th. When they drop the green flag Sunday for this race its gonna be fun to watch that first lap with those 4 up front. I think they will all play it safe at first but at the end its gonna be CHECKERS OR WRECKERS!

Today is the day the Nascar world has waited for. After the race we will know who the final 4 are. Points are tight and no one is locked in and who knows what will happen. Who is your final 4 pick to make it to Homestead Miami and run for the Championship? I still think the fast 4 will be there. Bad Brad, Joey Logano, Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick.

iam gonna change up my final four somewhat but iam sticking with logano , Hamlin , newman , but gonna have to swap gordo with harvick . I still say logano wins it all , at least I hope so . he and kennseth are my favorites since mark retired but matt has been alittle off this year . but hope to see that ford horsepower bring home the gold .

SCARY CREEK, I hope you been betting in Vegas! Your 4 are in! Harvick wins the race, Newman the winless driver is in after he wrecked Kyle Larson on the last turn of the last lap and that took Gordon out of the running. Hamlin and Logano are in. Good race that Harvick dominated. We are leaving out early Tuesday morning heading to Miami. I will be posting some nice pictures and short videos so check in toward the end of the week. Logano would be the better Champion and more deserving of them all. But wife is Harvick fan so I will cheer the jerk on or it would be a long trip for me and Mason!

haha, i hope logano blows them away but denny scares me he just keeps hanging around without much fanfare. i think theres going to be some pay backs at this last race,you know there will be a few drivers gunning for bad brad.have a safe trip with your family mr.bankston.

Lol no I don't bet but I live n breathe nascar ! Been hooked since I watched bill Elliot win the cup in 88' and seen my first live race in 93' at the " rock " in NC. Which rusty Wallace won - little side note rusty swept the spring and summer races that yr and won the spring 94' race so he 3 peated ! But anyhow I think in order to win the cup this yr you have to win homestead this week coming up . I don't see Newman winning the championship without the win this week , he's been a top 10 car all year but don't think he'll get it done this weekend ( wouldn't mind at all though , but he's the biggest dark horse for me ) . Harvick has been good all year but can he put it toghther on the 1 1/2 this weekend ? Dunno he's more than likely the most obvious to pick for me to win it but Iam sticking with Joey , he's been awsome on the 1 1/2 mile tracks this year and that Doug Yates ford horsepower is hard to beat but my biggest thing is Joey is young and seen him today have a melt down on the radio when he went down a lap , but my all time favorite mark Martin told joe Gibbs about how talented he was and to give him a chance on a ride , so I'll stick with Joey ! Denny Hamlin had a good test in homestead but the jgr cars lack speed , they handle good according to the drivers but no speed so Denny finishes third in my pole . I think they end up like this after all said n done : champion > logano 2) harvick 3) Hamlin 4) Newman

Sure is funny how Brad was the bad guy blast week , but everybody is OK with Ryan this week. LOL
I lost all respect for Newman after that move. I hope he gets taken out the first lap !
It sure would have been cool to see Brad drive around the outside of both Jeff and Kevin , without touching them , and take the win.


By the way , I don't have a favorite driver. But , I dislike any of them pulling some of the crap they've been pulling.

jackbob42, I agree. I never had respect for Newman as I have seen his true colors many times and was expecting a move like that. It will stink big time if he bams his way to a Championship, WITHOUT even 1 win. They shouldn't reset the points every 3 races and then talk about its wins or consistency that keep you advancing. No matter how many races you have won, BAD LUCK like Jimmie, JR. and Brad had will put you OUT. Blown tire, hit by another driver , broke transmission, ect. Nascar has 3 drivers with 4 wins EACH and one with 6 WINS that aren't in it any more and they have 2 in it that don't belong. NEWMAN and HAMLIN who has 1 win. They just dodged the bad luck bullet during the chase and ran good enough to advance. Those drivers wins need to count for something BEFORE the chase and during the chase. So if they get hit by the bad luck bullet if their points are high enough one bad race in the chase don't kill their whole season. We are going to have fun at the race this weekend but it will stink if Logano or Harvick don't get the Championship. They are the final 2 of the fast 6. I saw a ton of negative comments on Nascar website and Homestead Miami site after the race. Lots of fans selling their ticket's and swearing they are done with Nascar because of what Newman did and also that he is in final 4 with NO WINS.

scary creek i got to see awesome bill win his championship in atlanta.my cousin worked for the ford dealership here said ill get you free tickets to the race and all you can eat and a ford jacket all you have to do is drive one of our new trucks around the track before the race and bring it back to chattanooga,i said heck yeal.i got there at the track around 7 in the morning and at 11 the let me drive the truck around the track.something ill never forget is when i was in turn one i heard a rumble and i looked out to my left and here comes dale sr. in the 3 car going around me all i could see was his head right above the steering wheel.i was doing about 70 and dales engine was still hitting a lick passing me.lol

We got to Destin Florida yesterday morning and Mason had a blast playing in the gulf waters in his Jimmie Johnson swimming trunks. We got up early this morning and drove the other 11 hours down to Homestead Miami. Will see some sights tomorrow then 3 hard days at the racetrack.
Skeets sounds like that was a heck of a trip to Atlanta, memories of a lifetime.

Mason is a fine looking young man,i know yall are haveing the time of your life with him.scary creek i never was a sr.fan either i always liked bill and anybody that drove one of them ole fords but i hated what happen to dale sr. i watched him for 20 years so it was almost like loseing a friend when he passed away.

This past week Bill Elliot's son, Chase, locked up the Nation Wide Championship. He is the 2014 Champion no matter what happens at this weekends race. Chase is a rookie this year and Rick Hendrick said he would drive 1 more year in Nation Wide before coming to Sprint. He is a class act young man and will be the next Gordon or Johnson.
We will get to see him and Bill in the garage and if I can get a good picture of them together and yaw want one I will mail you a copy, ScaryCreek and Skeets.

Picture of me holding Mason in Sprint Cup Garage. Picture was took by news media and posted on twitter and my wife copied it for me to put on here. Jimmie Johnson had just autographed a picture for Mason and was walking off and Chase Elliot is in the Napa Fire Suit in the background. Mason in his little fir suit was a big hit in the garage with all the drivers and news media. Kurt Bush even stopped and talked to him and Marcus Ambros was the nicest of them all. This is Marcus last race as he is going back to Australia.

News media took this picture and it was on Miami Speedway Facebook page and my wife copied it from there. Mason is getting tired and was also shy from all the attention he was getting from drivers and news. He was the only kid we saw in the garage so they wanted to show him a good time and team Lowes even offered to let him set in Jimmies car but he got shy and wouldn't.

We'll the outcome was alittle different than I hoped but all along in back of my mind I thought harvick was the guy to beat , lead more laps than anyone this year , just stayed consistsnt and 5 wins , 2 coming the last two races where it counted so guess it was his turn - not a fan but congrats are in order . I was yelling at the tv last few laps thought ol flyin Ryan wS gonna get him but didn't happen .
