WB .. I know this is a tad off the subject .. But the kids down here in the south are really getting into this whiffle ball !! Christian is really working on these pitches and trying to bat .. At these crazy pitches !! It's the new thing while waiting on basketball and baseball to come again in the fall .. This is some crazy stuff .. I was working with Christian tonight on the whiffle ball game .. Lol

i learned how to throw the curve with a whiffle ball.daddy wouldnt show me how to throw a curve cause he was a afraid i would hurt my arm,so when he was gone i would get in the back yard and throw the wiffle ball against the house.it wasnt long i could make it drop like it was rolling off a table.lol

David Price pitches a complete game 1 hitter and the Tigers lose? Seriously? Even the Braves wouldn't blow an outing like that.

Todd our Braves can blow anything when its in the 7th and 8th. I'm not sure about Walden. He does good at times and then like at Pittsburg, he'll throw two pitches in a row 58 feet. If we would get rid of B.J upton as we did Uggla, we stand a chance, but those Nats are hot. I too have been watching the Tigers and i can not believe what i am seeing. Heck I had them preseaon AlCs champs. It can still happen but they better find a set up man, and a closer real fast. Terrible bullpen they have right now. Whats happening to the bats? They used to kill folks, but since that Yankees series they lost 3 games to 1, they have not recovered. Guess what? Those same Yankees are going into Detroit agin on Aug 26-28. Maybe we will chat at the oaks on this subject friend. Look forward to seeing you there.

the braves might not blow a outing like that but tonight they tried there best.minor had a nohitter going with one out in the eighth inn. and the red legs came back and tied it up.it was tied until the 12 inning when justin upton hit a 2 run moon shot put the braves in the lead to stay.the braves got a young 2nd baseman named goslin,i think hes going to be the real deal.

I watched them Braves too. Minor may be getting his mojo back. He pitched really well at home against the A's and again tonight he was outstanding. Still a long way to the end of the season but they are doing what has to be done now, and that is win the series with everyone they play. Six more games against the Nationals, and they are 5 games back of them in the division. Keep winning and it all takes care of itself. For some reason it seems as if someone has said wake up boys, you may not make the playoffs it you continue down the loosing path.

Speaking of loosing. What major league baseball team would give up 20 runs in one game? Detroit has some very serious issues up there right now. I would never have dreamed they could get as bad as they are right now. Can they turn it around? I believe so, but they better start tonight and quit messing around. By the end of this month, Aug 30, we will know their plight. Handle the Yankees at home, or plan on being home when the playoffs start. I think it has gotten to be just that simple now.

At the rate they are falling, they may not make it to next week before the day of reckoning comes upon them. I watched the Tigers again today..TERRIBLE at best, and i like them. I can not believe that a team as good as they are can be that bad. Something is bad wrong there internally. No real fire for winning is seen anymore.

The new coach is taking some heat. Pitching coach is taking some heat. Cabrera is playing hurt. I don't know....I think Bond might have put some kind of hillbilly hex on us and it's working. Linkous said he saw a black cat and a dead chicken in the back of Bond's truck.

Bond was dancing around a fire holding that black cat in one hand and swinging that dead chicken over his head with the other hand and chanting some gibbissh that sounded like death to the motor city kittys...it was scary

the braves has one of the best pitching staff in baseball,but they cant hit worth a plug nickle.maybe this winter they will get a centerfielder that can hit and move bj to bat boy.

I'm pulling for the Tigers as the Mn. Twinkies are done for the year. Always loved Tori Hunter when he was here, great club house quy, but didn't want to pay him & sent him to the Angels. Twins went into the tank every since! Nathan was a shutdown closer, until he hurt his arm, Twins gave up on him, too. I see he's 30 out of 36 on saves so he must still be able to get hitters out. BJ needs to be off the roster altogether and sent down to a minor league assignment. He couldn't be a first teamer on the little league world champs team. Pure Awful! The Braves are cooked. NO way they will get in playing like they are.

bj got lucky today,the pitcher hit his bat and the ball went over the fence lol.i think the braves are done for this year,no matter how good ah pitching you have if you cant score runs you dont win.

carlos stanton got hit in the face tonight,its as bad as a hit by pitch that ive seen.he has broken bones to his face and broken dental.he was the leading canadiate for the nl mvp this year.i doubt he will play again this year,but i hope he comes back as good as a player as he once was.

Braves are awful and losing again tonight. Oh well, lets hope we get a manager before next season. The one we have is more babysitter than dug out boss.
