hello to all freddy followers
will this is the first time I have posted on my own dogs thread, lol. since I am a working man and a coonhunter I don't have much time to play around on the net, but I have recently became on an extended vacation lol .
first off I want to say thanks to all that has followed freddy and I. it has been a nice ride. I also want to say this to those that have not posted but I am sure has looked but with negative thoughts: I was disappointed after English days from all the negative talk about freddy. it was English days REALLY of his bloodline status. it started on Friday with a dog withdrawing as soon as he drawed out with me as he said he did not want his dog ate up. then it got worse on sat. with the talk of freddy being said to not have any hunt in him and that he was an alligator. the worst thing was it was from people that I have never meet or drawed out with that I can remember.
so here goes my response after letting the air cool, lol. as I said before I am a working man and I am sure I will always HAVE to be to make ends meet. I chose to offer freddy to the public for a few reasons " not money" and the main one being I wanted a pup for my self out of a good breed bitch. the second being I am a true English man since my uncle would take me hunting starting at the age of 5 with his dog Tanner straight out of ole spek "uncle Jackie and Tanner may you chaise the coons all through the gates of heaven and every now and then when I turn loose with just me and freddy behind your resting place I know your right there with me all the way to the tree". with that said freddy has what I think to be some great old time breeding in is English pedigree and I want that bloodline to stay out there for the future English hunters. I have not done this for profit or to gain a big name Freddy has done that for himself.
to those that think or say he is an alligator will I can say "were most will not" that I have been scratched only twice in 6 years of hunting him. the first was his first SS hunt and when you got first and first on a coon in the first 7 min of the hunt and a dog goes to PULLING him off the tree 3 times by his back leg and he still just goes back to the tree and trees on the tree. I shouldn't have been scratched but it was the SS and the name of the game is win and I cant say that I wouldn't have agreed to scratch both dogs to get down to a 2 dog cast as well, so it is what it is and that was 5 years ago. the second time was at pkc English days this year and the dog that was causing the hole thing got scratched the following night too, and I guess he had some issues but I still wont say he is an alligator as I only hunted with him once that's part of it as I said before. I hunt every night with my buddies that have pups, younger dogs, older dogs, ex and they are not the first bit concerned about freddy. I have pics of a walker dog "ole butch go woody go" standing on freddys back while freddy is standing on the tree and there was no problems. I have had male dogs try to breed him twice, once on the tree and he just keep treeing "he sounded a little funny but who wouldn't lol" and once as soon as we turned them lose and he just stood there and moaned until we scratched the dog that was doing the breeding. so freddy being an alligator I say hell no and that's that. if you think so than please withdrawl as soon as I draw you as it just gives freddy time to rest up for the late round, lol.
now for the not hunting crap I will say this and I will not hold back as again I have nothing to prove to anyone and no one else will ever own him but me so why not just tell it like it is. I am sure there are guys that I have drawn out with and he has looked like **** the non hunting time has been put on him several times in big and small hunts and do I like it hell no he should never do that as he don't do it when I pleasure hunt or at least no longer than it takes for me to do a little training, lol but that is not his style. freddy is a very intelligent dog and as much as I pushed him he has became hunt smart and simply comes in and he knows I can not do anything to him, it drives me crazy when he does it "he watches me the hole time just staying out of reach of the ole trip and fall trick LOL as if he knows I cant touch him or say anything to him. I have had to set him up over the years with my buddies and go to training mode, but tell me someone that has not had to pull a dog out that pushes them and go back to doing a little tuning. he is not perfect, but again what dog is, there a dog as they say. BUT he is my dog and my buddy and a part of me so I will put up with the tuning part every once in a while as the other times he does what I like, tree coons. the past few months he has done some crazy things in the hunts one nite and look good the next but hey when you have constantly got a bitch in heat in the kennel and/or breeding him its going to happen, but hey I made that chose to do so.
I will put him in the woods for anyone to see with or with out a dog. and you can make your own mind up but if you have never hunted with him or drew out with him one time and you already have your thoughts and mind made up about him will than opinions are like *******s everyone has one, lol and I say that with not a care in the world if your one of those ones that think the worst of him. as I said he is mine and you will never have to hunt him anyway, again he will not leave my kennel except to go hunting with me.
now back to the good stuff if your a follower. I have had lots of calls and request to breed and have breed a few bitches in the past few months. some have missed and waiting to see for sure on the others but it looks like there will be some pups coming. one being out of my own bitch which is an uncle niece cross, super excited, but again have to wait a little bit to make sure but the signs are there. freddy has not been proven in the breeding yet to any size but from the first pup out of the first breeding that I keep "Pan-Dora's Box "Dora" she ran and treed with freddy the very first nite out and she won her first 4 pkc hunts and straight to the SS. my very good friend needed a dog and since I had the same female breed again already at this time I gave her to him as I wanted a male pup, "in regards that I got to hunt her in the next two SS. she got stole off a tree and stile waiting for her to pop up somewhere and if she does I will know her as she was about 30 lbs but sounded identical to Freddy, wow. I breed him 3 other times and one being that same cross and the female died having the first pup and we could not save any of the 15 pups in this littler "yes 15 and dora was out of a litter of 14" the other breeding was with my same friends bitch and she had 4 pups as she was an old female and the male that I picked out "Truck Fender" had a prolapse with his anal area at 3 months old and the vet could not keep it in so I put him down. the last of the 3 breedings was a ******** session to say the lest, should have had pick of the litter out of nine and I had the last 3 to pick from and that one died 2 days later of parvo and that is all that I will say. I know have a 7 month old female "Fredda Fender" from the last dog breed. I have only just begun to start her and I like what I see so far: cage coon or two up a tree, going with the other dogs, and starting to drift off by herself looking for something to get into.
so there it is. I know it is a long one but as I said I have not been on my own thread so I thought I should catch the interested up to speed. if you have tried to contact me and I have not responded or it has been a while please get back up with me 606-782-0535. I was over whelmed with the amount of people that starting calling and coming to hunt and I did not do my part in taking notes on names and numbers so again contact me and I will try and do better.
thanks BO MOORE and FREDDY FENDER
