I talked to Jason and he said that he could hunt Sun and maybe Tues nights. Has anyone talked to Robbie? Only 2 more weeks, I can't wait. What if I bring big momma up with me? We could turn Grandma loose with her sons and daughters and grandkids. Now that would be a real photo op. How about a picture with Haze, Sally, Moose, Willow, Tom, Chick, Moe and Joe. That would be a real family portrait. Of course it would have to come with the collar color code attached.

Buck, I noticed that Moose's daddy and both of his granddaddys are on Sawblade/Kelly's top 10 by % list. What a "coincidence". Or was that something that you planned? Maybe Moose will make it too, one of these days. Maybe one day you will have an "all % litter". I wonder how Moose's mother and grandmothers will stack up?

Moose's Sire, both of his granddaddys and both of his grandmothers are on the "list". Only his mother was left off. What a shame. Oh well, so much for an all reproducers list pedigree.

This list can be updated I suppose so when Sally gets a couple more Nite Champions on the ground, she will be on the list. It looked like it was cut off with females that have produced at least 3 offspring that were titled and she's got 2 already with a couple more with wins towards the title so it won't be long.

I looked at the list on top and bottom and Moose is part of a good combination of hounds that have a lot of success from the past built up and also a lot of future yet to build...all in good time.

Everyone wants to have a successful contributor to our breed but they just wait around and expect that it happens by chance. If people would stop for a moment and think about what goes into making a successful cross and into building a successful stud, they would maybe take more into account the work that goes into it. Sally is part of a pretty good foundation right now, she may not be the start but she's a good representation of how this process works...it goes on and on. You're already seeing the second generation just from Sally and we're looking at the 6th generation down from Rocky and that's what it's all about.

I'm looking forward to the nex 4-5 years to see how Moose can stack up on and enhance some of these good lines and especially back on his first cousins, half sisters and maybe even aunts. It'll be fun and something for us old farts to jabber about around the camp fire...eh?

Speaking of "work", Buck, I am leaving early, for me, in the morning headed for Arkansas to get Moose's mother. I saw that you and Linkous were busy "working" on expanding your kennels to take care of all of those pups that you will be having. Tom, a lot of people just look at the male and female when they are breeding 2 dogs together. They don't realize that they have to go on back when deciding who to breed to. You are right we talk about Sally's or Moose's offspring, but they are only a small part of the "puzzle". And a real breeder not only looks back, but also looks forward. There is so much "work" involved in this that you must have helpers or employees. One man can not do it alone.

I think Boo Boo is missing Moose he hasnt been out since leaving him out west.

Sure hope he and others can make the big get together starting Sunday, got a good hunt lined up Monday night also

Sunday night we can turn loose behind the cabin, big water hollar and mountains on both sides for miles

Man that moose sure looks good know your glad to get him home , that's cool to be able to see multiple generations on the tree together , had a good night last night , coons were really on the move . Wound up staying out til 2 am fritz treed 5 , and I treed 1 on my way to the 1st tree , still trying to get good pictures at the tree . Hope the pups are doing good .
