Had to take her to the vet today. They did surgery today and kept her overnight. The hide came loose and was hanging down about 5 inches and the size of your hand. She also had a bad cut in the meaty part of her leg that we didn't see till last night. The vet said she will be ok but it might take 5 to 6 weeks to heal.

Got a young male that we are working on. First dump with Smoke they ran one one about a 1/4 and he treed with Smoke real good, had the coon. Next dump he split away from Smoke and got totally by himself, ran a old cold track and treed in deep but couldn't find his coon.
Man summer huntin is commin on, the leaves are out in full force and it is getting hard to find a coon other than it's eye's.

We will see in a couple of weeks what this young male is made of.

is doing pretty good, she has a lot of stitches and wearing a cone. She goes back to the vet on friday.

My young pup that we are hunting is out of Rooster II X Mad Dog Frankie. He is close to being ready for the hunts and we hope that maybe we can bring him to Angola. Some nights he looks good and some nights I want to kill him.

The other pup that I have is out of Rooster II X Mad Dog Sweet Pea aka Nickie. He is a littermate to Umbies Barley dog that Qualified for the World Show Thursday at Eldon. I think that there is only three pups that lived out of that litter and Robbie has the third one. My pup is running loose on the farm and will be ready to hunt this summer when the corn field races start.

Hunting hard till Angola, hope Smoke can hold the pace. He is just like the Rooster pup, one night he looks like a world contender the next he looks like an average dog (looks like a blue dog ).The nights that he looks like a walcur is the nights I want to kill him.

took Barley Ray hunting Friday night and he tracked the coon and caught it on the ground by the time I got there the coon was dead . Boy is that Barley Ray getting fast . .....

Timmy has a lot of cowboyin going on right now and is gathering cattle and working them for just about everybody. I've been tied up at work also and yes, I DO have a long honey do list!haha
Robin is still on the mend but doing good and should be back in the timber in two or three weeks.
Have not had Smoke out in the last three days and he is wanting to go bad.

Hey Roy, Barley Ray got another win towards his grand show championship tonight in Arthur, Wi. He gaited like a walking horse but he bench showed like a jack a$$ . He finally saw he could not get off the bench and greet the two kids walking there and started acting like a good boy. .. I am so proud of him.
We are taking him out with our older dog for a couple of drops ....Good luck and good hunting...Vicky

What is your female? Glad to hear about Barley's win, Congrats. If you can, post some pictures of Barley. Let me know how he's doin in the woods. I love his looks and his personality is just like his brothers. They should make some awsome coondogs.
