"HUMBLED,HAPPY,WOOPED".........
Where can I start at ??
What a time we had huh? I could go to them kind every weekend.
"FIRST"... I & We, have got to thank Mr. Dave Dorota for allowing the use of his beautiful place to host this event. We never talked price but I told him we'd settle up to which he has always frowned to me about. He came up & watched the events. Told me several times,"Thank you for keepin the kids involved" ,"Without'um our sport becomes lost"! Sunday mornin Shelly,Matt & I went to do final cleanup,check over & get her car. We was goin in & Mr D was comin out.
Said he'd been checkin things out & there was hardly any trash to pick up,nothing ruined or damaged & he was extremely impressed how well people kept the place clean. Way in the back behind the club along the thicker timber edge there was a personal collection of plates & can's that we picked up. Just a couple other things & that was done.
"THANK YOU FOR BEIN ATTENTIVE TO THAT" 
Before I could bring up $$$ he said,"I'm not chargin you!" "Didn't charge the kids an entry fee & I'm not chargin ya'll!" Us locals know he is a great guy that suports our mission's. Just wanted ya'll that was there to know the person he is after havin the opportunity to appreciate "Mr. D's Cabin" with us.
I gota personally thank Miss erika for donatin her services & makin sure the paper work is all done,rite. Also to Ricochet Jay for volunteering to take on the illistration role as well as helpin with entries & the likes. John Dunluvy for doin the same minus the camera. A pile of entries & it went as smooth as that 1st layer of thin ice on the pond! My wife Shelly & son's Matt,Ben,Daniel & Anthony deserve a huge debt of gratitude from us as well as me personally. They been involved with this one way or another for several months & I couldn't have done much without their tryin to keep me focused & triple checkin if I had this or that figured out?
Todd Ackerman & Vicky Perkins, for all the help knockin on doors,makin descisions that needed done & takin by the horns the task at hand. THANK'S Ya'll"!! Got'er done didn't we ?
OF COURSE, our freinds, fellow coonhunters & members of the "BLACKHAWK LAKE COONHUNTERS" deserve a huge "THANK YOU" as well. They was the ones puttin 47 dawgs & young'un's in the timber along with some other volunteer judges & guides as well.
I beleive every cast but one came back with +points. Sign of honest effort to get'um into some coon so all had a chance not to mention the handling ability. Thanks again!!
How 'Bout the kitchen tendies? Hope everyone got fed that wanted to? Shelly,Kali,Stacy & everyone else that jumped in as needed,thank you!! We didn't have a lota options with our primitive kitchen but it all got ait.
My bad about breakfast  Was plannin to have some dounuts & I guess they slipped the ship till it was to late.
I had a ball & I basically watched it all unfold. I tended'ta get in the way so I was run off the feed dish to mingle around the edges. Was pleasently suprised to see some of the folks that attended. Actually quite a few BBOA members & a lot of zone III officers in attendance. Some to watch & some gettin entered up a young'un or two.
Nary a complaint about much other than the blue hut's & the thermals within & never really heard much other than "HOLY,DOES THAT STINK"!!!
Erika gave up her truck to make sure all the members of one cast had an appropriate safe ride. Oddly none of the handlers had a rig to drive?? Reminds me of the jibber a while back about not givin others a ride to the woods. HHHhhMmm ?? They all went,hunted,came back,some grinnin,others as well but not really pullin the corners back like you've seen. I never heard one mad or comin up with excuse's,nuttin,Nary!
47 dogs & kids....... I learned a lil sumthin from them this weekend.In fact a lot !
I said never again, but, then I been thinkin'ta myself,"Two Toes,double Digit, Wouldn't it be awesome to have sumthin like this on an annual basis at the pond?" One day,other breed associations or whatever? Interested?................. Anybody? This new club is a sister club to our Arthur club. We are holding the zone one quarter finals at Mineral Point. Kids came back with ONE dead cast. Settin the standards "WATCH'UM"
Apolagize for not gettin stuff on here faster. I'm workin on it now I guess? Have a female that was due monday but decided to hav'um saturday instead which was not what I wanted to worry about with the high heat rollin in. Yesterday one of the twenty times I checked on them there was one missin & I knew it had'ta be under her. Got her up & sure as the dickens there was a pup. I picked it up & massaged its chest & lungs. Gave her mouth to mouth & The tiny lil fighter responded with a bit of a gasp. I did CPR on it for 45 minutes until she got started back breathin on her own good. When I put'er back with Mom she latched on for some chow! Made my day today when I scampered out there at a trot as soon as I could walk this Mornin & see all 7 chillaxin & alive!! Never revived one like that before & have it come back.
Takes me hours to type sumthin like this so please bare with me. I got some critters thet are needin a lookin at for safety purposes. 100 degree's? WTH?
Make sure your hounds are safe & well watered a few times a day. After I get my chores done & check the neighbor girls horse since they are vacationing,I will post the results. Guess I'm the one that has them so stay with me. Fun not over yet!
