Fried pork chops with taters and gravy ~homemade~ and fresh beans.

biggest disapointment of working up north the first time was ordering sweet tea and getting rasberry tea after about gagging on the shock of that needless to say i got a coke.i grew up in southside va its a way of life... no sweet tea, thats just un american, no wonder why we split the union lol

I got a yearning for some Grits, bacon, eggs and home-made cat heads this morning! Who's got it? This Multi-grain toast with Nutella and OJ all the time ain't fulfilling my needs!!! We'll worry 'bout the honey-sweetened Iced tea later!

What's goin on in the hills and dales this morning? Not quite as hot as it has been here , Only 81 right now. Mid 90's instead of upper 90's. Hopefully some rain in the near future. Only had maybe half an inch in the last thirty days and then only a tenth or two at a time. Hot sun drinks that up every day! Pasture grass looks bad!

Our county is all over the place....

Some parts have had plenty of rain... Some have had enough and some have not had no where close to enough... The love of the mountains and never knowing where the rain is gonna go...

Been hot the last few days around 90 but the humitity is horrible...

Raining almost everyday somewhere you just have to be lucky enough to be under one of the clouds... we have had about 3/4 inch in the last week on my weather rock...

For me, I cant get out of the Pennsylvania trip, but they say Ive gotta go. The Wife has said it would be good for me to have the experience. Ive been told it is the country part [near the Amish country], so it might not be so bad. But the last time my kin went to Pennsylvania,[with GEN. JEB STUART CSA], it didnt turn out so good [remember GETTYSBURG!!] Anyway, I hope I dont starve to death or die of thrist[ no sweet tea, no biscuits & gravy, no grits, no turnip greens, no banana puddin, no nothing]. I hope they have KFC fried chicken at least!! The thing that I forgot to tell yall is Im gonna get to do some coon huntin while Im up there,[ I hear they have got the coons]. Im just dreadin the drive up there though[ thats the one thing that still hurts my back after my accident, RIDING IN A CAR FOR THAT LONG [8 TO 9 HOURS]!! Pray for me my Southern Brothers, Im 44 and its my first trip UP NORTH, GIVE ME COURAGE LORD JESUS, LET ME STAND LIKE A STONEWALL[JACKSON OF COURSE] AND GOD BLESS YALL ALL.

You will actually love that part of the country.

We went to Cooperstown NY which is in the Amish Country of New York and we really did have a great time.

It was truly a beautiful part of the country deer and turkey everywhere and I have to admit I would go back in a heart beat....

if you are anywhere near Harrisburg PA (Bass Pro Shop is there) or Hamburg PA about 45 mins from Harriburg there is a Cabelas there...Hershey Park is right there also....

That was our layover point..... and I of course being the Southern Gal I am I had to go check them out......
