Five minutes

I hear alot of people gripe about how scores can't happen and if you know how to guide and not hunt your spots to death its really not that hard. I heard a guide at the michigan maddness complaining a guy scoring three coons by itsself in 20 mintues. Lets see, give 18 minutes of hunt time used on the first two drops and you have two minutes left to hunt. Its not that uncommon for a dog to tree a coon up there in a couple minutes if you know what your doing and that way the five minutes you half to wait is not a factor. I scored 900 plus in a pkc hunt at the spring classic when it was in Bucyurs in the first 40 minutes and the dog split 4 times from the other dogs and once with them. Of course the second hour fell apart, lol but I still won with 775 plus. Just saying big scores arent as hard to get if you take good care of your competition hunting spots and of course we all know there are a lot of written up scores but it dosent mean they can't happen. Oh yeah, it helps to have a coon dog on the end of the leash too, lol, or hope someone in the cast does.

Read LAST SENTENCE

17. GENERAL INFORMATION:
When a dog is declared treed, Judge is not to let anyone go to the tree and start shining in less than five minutes, unless all dogs have been declared treed. This is a
courtesy to other handlers and also to see that a dog will
hold his tree. If at all possible, be at the tree within five (5)
minutes. If handlers are so far from tree that it will take
more than five minutes to get to tree, they are to start
walking toward tree, but stopping all along to let other
handlers see if their dog is treeing. Judge is not to let any
handler keep holding him away from tree just to let dog
get to tree after five minutes are up. Dog must hold the
tree for five minutes, unless all dogs in cast are declared
treed. If one dog in cast, or one dog remaining in cast,
dog must hold tree for five minutes.

Flo strikes again, comes in with 1000+, 150- and 225 circle at Clinton RQE. The circle tree was a good track and big tree. Sure hope she gets better in the next couple years.
