I GOT SEPERATED FROM DOOBIE AND POODY, SO I DIDN'T GET A SHOT OF CODE. AFTER THEY LEFT, JANET'S OLD DOGS MADE A TREE WHILE I HAD ELLIE AND TRASH ON THE LEASH. JAYCI WAS 13 IN JANUARY AND STORM, HER SON, WILL BE 12 IN APRIL.

SHE GOT ANOTHER ONE BY HERSELF TONIGHT. HUNTED A LITTLE OVER A HOUR ON THE FIRST DROP WITHOUT STRIKING. SECOND DROP, I DROPPED HER IN A POND. SHE WORKED TRACK IN THE WATER PRETTY GOOD. TRAILED 'BOUT TWENTY MINUTES OR SO AND SHE JUMPED IT. SCREAMED TRACK FOR 'BOUT 5 MINUTES AND HUSHED. TWO SCREAMING LOCATES AND HAMMER TIME. SHE TREED GOOD 'TILL I GOT THERE AND LEASHED HER. SHE KEPT LISTENING FOR THE BANG BUT I WASN'T PACKIN'.

Keep it up with her and she should make a fine one .....Don't think I would have left the house with an 18 month old and not be packin.. Good coon tracks are to hard to come by...Just me....Like to hear about her though..Sounds like u like her... Know she is hard to look at sometimes but, oh well..lol

FIRST DROP LAST NIGHT, ELLIE TOOK A TRACK FROM THE SWAMP ACROSS THE HILL. SHE HAD ALREADY CROSSED THE ROAD WHEN WE DROVE AROUND. CUT HER OFF CROSSING THE NEXT ROAD AND LEASHED HER TO THE TRUCK WHILE I CHECKED THE ROAD. WET COON TRACKS CROSSING ROAD. DIDN'T PUT HER BACK ON IT AS I THOUGHT IT WAS THE LAST ROAD BEFORE THE HIGHWAY. FOUND OUT ON THE WAY HOME THERE WERE TWO MORE ROADS BETWEEN THERE AND THE HIGHWAY. NEXT DROP WAS SUPPOSE TO BE WITH TRASH ALONE AND HER IN THE BOX BUT, AS IT WAS GETTING LATE, I DID WHAT I DIDN'T WANT TO AND TURNED THEM BOTH LOOSE. TRASH STRUCK FIRST AND WORKED THE TRACK A WAYS BEFORE SHE JOINED IN. THEY TOOK A HARD RIGHT-HAND SWING AND I FIGURED THEY WERE "TRASH"ING. LOL. WE DROVE UP THE ROAD TO GET CLOSER AND THEY WERE REALLY RUNNING WHEN WE GOT OUT. ALL OF A SUDDEN, ELLIE LETS OUT A SCREAMING LOCATE AND FELL TREED. TRASH BACKED HER AND WE HELPED OURSELVES SAVE SOME WALKING BY ACCEPTING THE OPEN-GATE INVITATION ON THE NEXT PROPERTY OVER. WHEN WE GOT OUT THE TRUCK I SPOTTED A COON IN AN OAK BUT THE DOGS WERE TREED IN DEEPER. WITH DA MEAT ! THIS NEW CLUB IS GONNA BE GREAT ONCE I LEARN MY WAY AROUND.

I HAULED ELLIE UP TO SHALLOTTE, N.C. LAST NIGHT FOR HER FIRST TRY. WE NEVER MADE A TREE. SHE HUNTED FOR 35 MINUTES THE FIRST DROP WITHOUT MAKING A BARK. OH WELL, SHE DIDN'T MESS WITH NO POSSUMS. IT'S AMAZING WHAT A QUARTER INCH DIAMETER GREEN SWITCH CAN DO TO A DOG'S HIDE AND ATTITUDE. LOL. THEM BOYS FREAKED OUT WHEN WE CALLED TIME AND I BROKE OUT TO CALLIN' "ELLIE, ELLIE, ELLIE". SAID IT SOUNDED LIKE I WAS YODELIN'. HEY, IT WORKS ! WE'LL KEEP TRYING HER 'TILL SHE CYCLES.

I broke old monkey face out and went to a hunt..Took first and second on the first drop..Big tree and couldn't find it..He was split.. So he moved to first on that tree..He had first tree but, I wanted to make sure I was right..He was deep....Second drop scuffled with atrack the rest of the hunt. 4 casts at the hunt and one came back with plus..Summer time..Got to love it...
