I beak my dogs off cars by putting shock collar on them then tie them to the mailbox when a car comes by shock the dog ,don't eatthem up just bump them till the car goes past.I broke Dixie the female I got from Matt with two 20 minute sessions in two days.It won't stop them from crossing a road but it will pay attention to cars on the road.I usually do my pups at about 4months I have not lost a dog to white line fever in over 10 years by dong this training I hope this will help anyone to prevent dogs fron getting killed on the highway Glynn

update

hi matt i let the pup run around while i was moving snow today she had a goog time. really nice acting pup. i can't wait to get her started. it's been 25-35 below the last several days. today it warmed up and snowed 4 inches. hopefully it will get warm enough to hunt soon. talked to a couple of the guys out west. they have been treeing several lions and bobcats. did you get the papers yet? dennis

DENNIS,

I haven`t received them back from ukc yet.I have been looking for them in the mail.ukc has been good about getting my papers back to me.I sent in two litters at the same time over 200.00 of paper work.so I `m sure they will be here soon.it warmed up here some today we have three to four more inches of new snow this morning and still have light snow falling.the hounds are all doing good.the pups i have from Don are nice pups may be the best looking off of stinger yet.well mike has a nice looking litter too.they sure have nice confirmation and tight feet on them.they no doubt will be dual purpose hounds. I sure hope the weather warms up some.It wouldn`t take much to load up and go south to Ga.my wife don`t like feeding the hounds when it this cold and i don`t blame her.I don`t like it either.I give her a lot of credit she does good with them when I take trips.if it was`nt for her i would be staying home more.I have a couple phone calls to make the phone had to recharge already once today.take care Dennis,I`ll be talking to you soon.

Stinger and Dixie pups

Matt,

After 48 hours of alot of hard work and effort on everybones part,
Pups are doing great. Dixie is still in alot of pain, But i think she is going to be ok. All of the pups have nice spread markings and a few were born with tan trim on them. Will keep updated.

I kow you and your female and pups have went threw alot with her having 13 pups in her and the breach it could happen to any of us.is their any signs a person should look for?You did good getting her to the vet in time to save 10 that is something great on your part and should say what kind of person you are and how well you know and take care of your hounds.keep me informed. if their is anything you need and if I can help I will.

Stinger has 55 pups so far the oldest will be two years old in june.Shane Connors has one to register and Chris Cadle has 9 living out of his litter.so 65 pups should give us a ideal how stinger is going to reproduce. I have my big mouth Lou female bred to stinger now,if she catches this will be a good cross Lou is a full littermate to Upsons Little Blue.This was a good cross and Little Blue is working out good for Dennis.I want to say THANK YOU ! to everybody who has bred to Stinger or bought a pup out of him.I know all pups don`t make it but what I`m seeing and hearing their not doing bad.any how THANKS FOR EVERY BODYS EFFORT AND HUNTING A STINGER PUP.

I just need to get my sons sports out of the way so I can get back to hunting. Thats when the weather will stay decent long enough to go. Geesh! Not sure when that will be

Bryan,

I took annie last night she was standing on the tree and had the coon.I thought they were on a fence but she was on the tree.I didn`t even take my rifle its her second time out and the first time I hunted sassy from Don H. Sassy did good.I went back drove my truck to them and shot it out.this was the first for both female`s.sassy had been ran on bear only.Don is wanting to sell her.I wanted to see what she would do.sassy did open on one other track but didn`t tree.when the weather breaks I will start running them hard.talk to you soon.

BLUE WAS SOLD TO LONNIE WALTERS,TOM HUNTED HIM TONIGHT AND DREW JAMIE AND BILL`S TRASHY AMOS WHO PLACE 4TH AT THE GRAND AMERICAN.BOYS IT WAS 10 DEGREES AND BLUE WON THE NITE CH OUT OF TWO CAST WITH THE ONLY DOG WITH PLUS POINTS .TOM IS HEADED TO THE AKC WORLD HUNT IN ORANGEBURG.I HUNTED LEGEND AND DREW 225 - THEN HE TRIED TO REDEME HIMSELF STRUCK IN FOR 50 THEN TREED IN DEEP FOR 125 AND HAD THE COON.WE HAD DOGS SPLIT IN THREE DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS.OUR CAST WINNER HAD 25 - LEGEND DID GOOD TOM PICKED HIM UP TODAY AND I PUT HIM IN HIS FIRST SHOW THE FIRST TIME ON THE BENCH AND REALLY DID GOOD WITH A LITTLE WORK HE COULD BE TOUGH.DAN IF YOUR READING THIS HE SURE SOUNDED GOOD ON THE TREE HE HAS ALOT OF TREE DADDYS TRAITS.FOR THE CHANGE IN OWNERS AND PUTTING HIM IN OUR BIG BENCH SHOW 16 HOUNDS IN OUR SMALL CLUB HOUSE HE DID GOOD AS EXPECTED. I WILL BE BREEDING SADIE TO HIM WHEN SHE COMES IN.SADIE IS THE DAM OF TURBO BLUE SHOULD BE ANOTHER GOOD ONE. OH YEA, I FORGOT BLUE POWER!

BRYAN,

She is a real friendly female she has a good mouth and she listens good.it won`t be long I will be taking her three or four times a week.one thing about it she will be put in the timber when this weather breaks enough for a young 9-10 month old.calling for more snow here tuesday.hey talk to you soon .

Pups look nice. Matt the weather has warmed up some but the ice remains. I had another basketball game tonight. I have to go to Cedar Falls to deliver my daughters car at college.
Then its Texas Roadhouse here I come!

I cant wait till the weather breaks good here and the ice is gone.

Not sure what Matt has on the ground but 20 mile south west in Greenville we got 14 inches of snow out of that last storm.

Wow Robert that stinks.
I know its been a few years back but we had 24 inches snow in April. And that all came down in a day. Bad storm. Good thing it didn't last long but made for a wet muddy mess.

Were getting wind and drifting snow tonight. mike the stinger females are looking good.I heard the pups went over a mile away from home the other day.they are sure going to have some hunt in them.are they 3 months old yet ? I do have a couple young ones out of stinger for sale one male and one female for sure.i`ll try to post pictures of them soon.

hi matt it's been cold here too, yesterday was the first time it's been above freezing for over a month. we had 35" of snow before the first of the year. the snow is still over my knees. our pups are looking good i can't wait to get mine here. looks like mike is doing a great job with them. stinger is siring some nice pups. the one i got from you is doing good. i tied her out on the dog house this week. she adjusted very well. i sent you a video this morning of some katie and toby pups in canada treeing on a lion. hope you get it ok. lou ought to throw the same caliber of pups. dennis

DENNIS, I like Lou I bred her to stinger once i don`t know if she caught yet.I bred Super Fly today.I know stinger is throwing some nice ones but you know the good females is what its all about.I `m glad your liking your fly female she is a nice one.I took some pictures today but it was to bright out on some and they didn`t turn out.I`ll check out the video thanks.Dan you know theirs only one BLUE LEGEND.Bring her her up and bring her papers i want to check them out.DENNIS I CHECKED OUT THE VIDEO REAL NICE.I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH A YOUNG ONE SOUNDING AS GOOD AS THAT.NICE CLIP MATT
