Hi There Everyone!

Howdy doodie! Nice day here... bit hot but never turned on the AC.... NO clue what tomorrow will bring....lol.....

Shannon,
TopGun(Gunner) had FINE breath but he was 18 mos old and I brushed and scaled them regularly...KINGIE was the KING of STINK! lol... he was pretty famous for his breath.... and I did his teeth too once we got him...and I'd Gag and Gag.....lol...
As for the horses... yeah...I started riding late, at 13 at horse camp where I met Bob...he was just a wee little boy of 10 and I was 13. I ended up having trouble in public high school(I WAS a monster)... and my parents let me stay back a yr and go to a private High with horsies... and kids WAY richer than me...an all girl boarding school. It worked wonders on me(horses saved me from myself)...and I went to 1 yr of horsie college in OH before my horse went lame and I decided to go to BU...but that only lasted the 1/2 a yr. I then started my horse career mucking stalls grooming etc and working my way up. Had a great few yrs teaching therapeutic riding and then when I got my own lil barn...I had my own lil boarding and teaching place. Had the honor of doing some rehab on some special race horses here too...a HIGHLIGHT! I LOVED the horse care and teaching and I HATED riding! I was scared from the first day I got on a horses back...and once I broke my back(on a trail ride at camp...with Bob and a group of others)... I was a BIGGER chicken...but I rode because I HAD to for my career...and I was good. I could fake being unafraid most of the time...but I was so scared I was always ready to barf... lol... People wondered WHY I kept doing it but I loved teaching. I had planned to do therapeutic riding again.... Then I smashed the truck and lost my ability to ride(no big deal!lol)...and eventually they realized it wasn't so safe for me to teach (the memory).... I also lost the desire which was WEIRD! I still love to see the pretty horses and I WILL be up early tomorrow to watch the Dressage(my FAV. thing to do when I DID get on a horse...LOL)
YUP.. horses WAS ME and for a long time I struggled with the new me...then I met Bob again and was able to let go of the horses completely and get interested in the hounds we loved to hunt at horsie camp...
OH... and one of my last ever rides... was on the most wonderful leop. appy named Laddy... who was a DREAM bareback. When my back was sore I would hop on him and canter (or do his awesome lope)... and loosen up my spine. Gosh that would HURT my neck now! lol... He was great and lasst I heard is in his 30s...totally blind now and healthy as...WELL... a horse!
Thanks for sharing the horse pix!
OK... off to see wassup on here! Have a GREAT night everyone!
Heather

Hello Everyone! I'm enjoying the thread as always and REALLY loved the pix! The dawgs look awesome as always. Gotta love the picture of Boss... his mouth looks like he could swallow a coon whole!

Watching the Pats preseason game vs the Saints. NOt sure how I feel about our chances this yr? We'll see and we'll live with the MESS of traffic and grumpy fans and drunken fans and happy fans....lol... I'm glad we don't live closer. Our carpenter lives right by the stadium and he cannot go anywhere on game days...cause he can't get back home! lol...

Later Gators, Heather

Heather ... What an amazing story !!! Gosh .. You've been thru a lot !! When I was in high school I wasn't afraid at all .. I'd hope right on and go !!! Now that I'm older .. Much older .. Lol .. Lindz will sometimes ask me to ride a "difficult" horse ... My response is ..... Lindz , I can't brake anything .. I've gotta work and everything has to function on my body for me to clean !! Lol .. Even tho I've broken bones on my horse.. And broke some really crazy horses .... Today I have fear now ..... I wanna live Lindz .. ...Lol ..we just got back from dads and ridding and bathing Lindz horse ...they are a beauty to watch Also ...

Thank you heather for your response !! I enjoyed reading your story !!!!!'

Hi every one !!! Have a good night !!
