Hello every one !! ; )

I was really sick yesterday .. But I was grateful that I felt better before I had to baby sit Khloe .. Of course when you see her sweet smile you can't help but to feel better .. I also could not get into the thread all day yesterday so I missed talking with every one !!

Corky .. It sure did make me feel good when I saw your pic's and your post !! I knew somewhere ol wb have a good heart .. He does know a good dog when he sees one !!! Lol .. I'm proud !!
I also loved the joke !!! That WAS funny !! I need to switch to dawn !!!! Since I've gained a few extra pds... Lol .. thanks soooo much for thinking of me corky with the pic of the blue dog !! Made my day !!

That's right Dan .. I remember working at a huge house one day and the guys were working out side .. I just walked outside and said .. HEY y'all want something to drink ... ?? I walked right in the house and got all 12 of them something to drink !! The mr. Hank said .. Omg .. I forget to ask them if they were thirsty .. Well .. I didn't .. I felt sorry for them .. Haha ..

Nice Pix! Khloe is a doll Shannon!

I"m tired but I'm here! lol... I can't believe it's been so long! I have TONS to catch up on...AHhhhhhhhh!
Not sure what's gone on the last few days...Been HOT and GROSS humid...and some rain here and there. I worked for Mum on Sat AND got to see my son, Richard, his wife Elizabeth and Brandons Girlfriend MaryFrances who's staying with mum. Worked slow and steady emptying all the kitchen drawers, cleaning it all and putting it all back... WOW she has lots of stuff! lol............ NICE visit but I worked almost 9 hrs and drove 2 hrs...so last night and today are a blur. It is intersting to be "coming back to life"but tiring too. I find my feet are so from STANDING on them...lol... That is NOT what I'm used to...lol..as a horseperson and instructor i was on my feet ALL day everyday.... Live and learn!
Shannon... I'll get pix for you on here of my Mums house and will add the link to the whole album. It will occupy you for days(weeks?lol...)

and here is Mums house! It is a replica of a Manor home in England. I always thought it was a miniature but Mum thinks it is not. So???lol... My parents mortgaged their lives away MANY moons ago to buy this place...it was perfect to house my dads medical practice on the whole first floor. We lived on the second floor. Before I was born the third floor was also offices and Mums art studio until they moved some offices to the Hosp. and used one room as a bedroom and the rest to store JUNK...tons of junk... and is still full of junk... lol... So this is the house I grew up in! AND...I WAY prefered being in the farm house at horse camp...coonhunting at night....

cool hallway on the third floor... never seen this in another house. It is the meeting of the chimneys. There are fireplace in just about every room... we never used them cause mum was in the Cocoanut Grove fire... she didn't want to smell fire.

Love the Blueticks and their pups ... Also the black and tan is beautiful too .. I loved the long ears !!!!! thanks so much for posting all the pic's heather !!!! I really mean it , I enjoyed them !!!
Heather is one hound a grey hound .. A retired one? My dad has 2 of them .. They both have their racing numbers in the inside of their ear.. pleasant hound to have .. Dads is very sweet !!

Morning all! 73 and overcast here! Today Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm, then showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Patchy fog before 10am. High near 86. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Bahia is growing and growing and growing as we speak! Hope the 'ol John Deere is resting up good!

Heather I don't think I had seen the ones you posted of MUM's although I already had the link to your albums and have looked through them on occasion. As you have aforementioned you have a gazillion! Impressive looking home.

Thank you Dan .. Nothing but my children meant that much To me .. She was my whole .. Every where I went . She was with me .. You never saw me with her.. She was faithful and loyal to me .. The site was down a bit so I went plundering in a civil war diary. I don't know why this struck me as funny.

-The boys left South Carolina with many fond memories, perhaps the most pleasant times they spent were there. C.H. Clark recalled, "..swamps and green moss hanging from tops of trees to the ground the black squirrels & the alligator the boys caught and the 164 lb. cannon ball many boys failed to shoulder". These, as well as, Page's Point, the Pine forrests, the oyster banks, and "..the big 'live oak' tree near the Stewart House under whose branches I stood guard many a night" would never fade from the memories of these country boys. Thank you John !! I don't mind at all talking about her .. I talk about her every day .. she was my life line .. My heart .. A dream that I (really) dreamed about having for 30 years .. As a little girl I'd lay in bed and think of one day having a Bluetick .. And coon hunting .. Lol .. I waited 30 years to have her in my arms , to hold her and to look her in the eyes I just don't know if my friends on this thread want to hear my story over and over again .. Hahahahaha .. John .. I do want to say .. My friends on this thread .. Saved me , (along with my children ) when she died .. Every one was soooo kind and understanding , when I talked about her .. I know it drove them nuts bc I wore out her name .. Lol .. But no one said one bad thing to me about it .. Every one listened as I vented about my terrible state of being .. Every one doesn't know how much It meant to me for their kindness and support !! I could never repay my friends for that ... It's simply priceless !!!

You can ask me anything you'd like about Anna .. It's a story that is filled with so much love and compassion and heartache and pain .. But in the end.. The love always must greater than the pain .. it's a story about a little girl having a dream of owning a Bluetick and wanting to win the world championship !! Lol ..

I have a peom that I wrote about Anna 2 weeks before she died .. A friend of mine helped me edit it .. (he's a great writer and spells better than I do) which I'm very grateful for .. I'll post it again if you'd like to read it ...

Anna's stomach flipped at (almost) 8 months Of age .. But there is a huge story behind that too ... I never will forget last summer before it happend ..nor the day I last saw her look in my eyes for help ... She was a hound that could speak through her eyes .. I always knew what she was telling me .. Some don't understand that ... I promise if you ever meet any of my children they will tell you .. Anna spoke to mom .. And there was no one Anna loved more than mom ...my youngest son tells every one that .... Mom ain't been right since her Anna died ... Lol ..

You are right ... Moonlight Anna was her name .. My dad gave ME the honor in naming her ..dad shared my joy in having her around .. She loved it at dads ... It is where she is buried ..

So John .. If you want to know anything .. I'll always be happy to talk about her or post any pic's I have of her .. I have tons .. Of her and us together ..

I will say one more thing ... My breeder Ray Matthews is one of the greatest man I know ... He was with me from the day I picked her up until the day I laid her down .. Emailing me , talking with me during each week , helping me train her .. The WHOLE time I had her ... He wanted to see my dreams come true ... Bc he saw such love and compassion between a hound and her master . Ray has the same feelings I do toward Anna's father Ruebin .. Ray promised the day Anna died that he would GAVE me another pup from the same parents ...so I could have the closest thing to Anna I could ever get .. He bred them and the female I chose died .. And Im still waiting ...Ray still promises ... He's a man of his word .. He is a blessing to me !! And I hold him high on a pedalstool !!! I tip my hat off to Ray Matthews @ bluetick1kennels !!

Sooo John .. I'm sorry this is so l o n g ... I get like that when i talk about the people i love and Anna .
