HELLOOOOOOoooo!
Sorry I been BAD and not gotten on here but to be honest I have just been too darned LAZY!
Lyle.... I'm so sorry you lost your Mom! She IS in a better place BUT... you made her time here a way better place by your wonderful actions. Caring for her as you did will NEVER be forgotten.... What a long life she was Blessed with. I can only hope....
OK... my visit with Mum was awesome, the work went GREAT! I dusted and dusted... you have to realize this house of hers(where I grew up!) is 8000 SF plus! I dusted the first floor minus all the office space(it was my Dads Drs Offices)... I got carried away vaccuming bare floors(I PROMISED mum I would NOT do rugs since someone was able to do that during the week)... and the stairs....and the second floor LOL ....I also dusted the living dining room on the second floor and got one kitchen counter scrubbed....and then the Gals Showed up! Mum said she heard us squealing as we greeted each other! lol... It was WONDERFUL! We had the best visit. Sadly my friend Diana ( one of my oldest friends and the gal who made me so interested in Asian stuff-she is Chinese and married to an Italian man... so her last name is Pellegrino, I still LOVE the reaction when people first meet her and see she is Chinese with such a great Italian name )... Any way... Diana has had thyroid cancer and surgery and treatments... and after a few yrs of remission she is heading back for another surgery... the cancer is back and they don't know how far it's gone this time We are all praying hard for her. She is a delight... ALL heart! My friend MaryKay was orig. from TX and is living in FL so I slipped right into a Southern accent...LOL.. and Linda who is a pure Yankee....lol... was GREAT to see... it had been about 25 yrs! Akkkkk! SO, yeah.. it was awesome but the VISIT nearly killed any energy I had...lol... after they all left I finished organizing the one counter I got clean in the kitchen, visited a bit more with Mum and drove home safe and sound! Then I was running on adrenaline Sunday and Monday and CRASHED tuesday! lol...
SO... you know how I said we have one litter of five coonkits? well they make the BIGGEST mess in our hayloft everynight...and LAST night Webster the make believe coondawg... who proves that some AKC showdawg lines HAVE kept the instinct... was insane last night.. drove me crazy and I finally closed the dog door.... Anyway... he was reminding me COON IN BARN! COON IN BARN! and I could HEAR the racket. so I snuck over to the barn. I heard a scratching in the tack room and worried a baby was stuck in one of the small have a heart traps....so I turned on the light and... half way up the wall was the cutest kit and the hind end of another...lol.. He or she stopped and looked at me and it was like we shared the greatest joke...and then they scrambled into the eaves. I shut the light off and ran to house for camera. SNUCK back out and with lights off, using infared cam. beam I got eyes and took a couple pix of momma and one baby.... lol Just peeking out of the eaves... then I left the poor things alone......
Weather has been Hot Cool Dry Rain... it IS New England....
AWESOME pix everyone! Love the archives BTW Johnny AND new pix! Horses are gorgeous... I wish I had gotten into pulling. I LOVED ground driving our horses and ponies so I would have loved it! Those FISH were WAY cool! The baby coon... adorable.... SUmmer and Autumn awesome(where are winter and spring?) lol...
CrossB, lol on the cruise.... I think I'd like one for a short time and then want LAND! Not sure, never been.... Glad you had a good time!
OK... enough catch up... I can't recall everything I wanted to comment on.... and have PAGES of stuff to read on here so I'll say... HAVE A GREAT DAY! I'll see y'all when I can make it back!
Later, Gators, Heather
