Congrats

But Dan, when Jay takes a pic the next time the dog wins, could you just 'step aside' & let your back-up handler up front!!! And I don't mean dad. OOOHHH, did I just say that!!!! Take care, Ron.

Patch and his kids!

Took patch out last night for the first time in a few months with his 2 sons, DUKE and DUDE. Was a great night of huntin and one that will have me smilin for awhile. The dogwork and ability was great to see. Ended up making 7 trees total, one tree with all 3 dogs, and the rest was 2 dumps with all 3 dogs treed solo at once! Resulted in alot of walkin for me, but I loved every minute of it! Was great to see the similarity it traits from father to sons. The great genetics he has passed on and makes me very excited for the future ahead with these dogs! Cant wait for our next time out!

COLTON AND BJ

Here's a picture I'm posting for Colton Randecker and his dog, "BJ". BJ is out of Patch x Sas. I believe he's right around 2 years old, and Colton singled him out this past hide season. Sounds like he sure has turned it on recently. These are some of the coon that BJ treed.

"Blizzards & Bludawgs"

Charlie Brown from Pa. came to pick up a pup. Jeff Rankin was co-piloting with him on their long 16 hr journey in some of Ma Natures finest winter weather obstacles.

We went huntin in the 30 mph winds & the ground movin because of drifting snow. We had'ta baa-haa through some pretty good drifts to get to the timber a mile off the road. Charlie wanted to hunt with "Patch" so we was more than honored to show'um to them. Took him & two son's of his Dan's been huntin. "Patch" on his third or fourth hunt since early november. Jeff had his GrChNtCh Snake hill blue"Dottie" female. A real nice female I might add.

Sent "Patch","Dude" & "Dottie" under the fence with the wind at our back. They sank in the country in three different directions. Wind was howlin way to much to hear so we was garmin huntin. "Dude" ended up to the south treed by him self. "Patch" way to the north in a different timber,he kinda likes the wind in his face. "Dottie" got treed down across the gorge from "Patch". We was attempting to hear any of them when Dan cut "Duke" out. I'll be jiggered if he didn't drop in the timber to the west & fell treed in den tree alley. They went & gathered him since he was close,120 yards. He was doin the hind leg shuffle & missed. Happens but not very often.

Some more Baa-Haa'n & we got within 350 yards of "Dude". Dan & Jeff headed in after him while Charlie,Kali & myself made sure the truck didn't blow over. He was on a hollow but Dan stuck the camera in the hole & snapped a picture of the coon up inside. When they got back we was off Baa-Haa'n again after the other two. Got within a hundred yrds from "Patch" who had a coon shoved up a dead & pretty much absense of bark elm & honkin on it. I even made it to that tree. My second tree I been able to make this week!

Dan & Jeff went on & got "Dottie" after hikin down & then straight up to her. She was 500 yards to the east as the crow flies. Eventually they got back & we mutually decided that was enough strainin to hear & gettin pelted in the face that felt like we was gettin sand blasted. Couldn't hear anyway unless they woulda been close & the chances of that happenin was slim & none. One turn out, four dogs on four seperate tree's in a mile radius among three different timbers& none even thought about movin a muscle. Headed to the house & had a very enjoyable time shootin the breeze & grazin on food. When the PKC hunters come back thru more BS'n!

This mornin Charlie picked him out a dandy lil female pup outa "Patch" & "Carly" to move into the home of the "Canada Hollow Ragin Blue's".

I wish ya nothin but the best guys & really enjoyed meetin ya'll. Always enjoy these good 'Ol Fashion "Pleasure Hunts" amongst fellow Bluetickers. Just wish it was a better night for huntin but we dealt with it. Heck,we was huntin Bludawgs !

Still drivin I imagine? Been only 12 hrs since they set the garmin on "East".

Thanks again guys!

"Blizzards & Bludawgs"

Well Russ, lets just say the travel home went much bettr than
the going west. We pulled in just before midnight our time, did'nt hear a peep outta that lil girl for the first 6 hrs.
Thanks again for the hospitality @ "The Treein Blue Bed & Breakfast".. Had a great visit, just wish we coulda heard em doing
the work instead of watchin the garmin.. Was'nt sure how Meathead was going to do after about 15- 16 hrs in the car, but she did'nt disapoint me. 2 on the outside, 1 confirmed den & 1 a bit short for the youngn, pretty good for the conditions Fri. nite..
After the drive to Charlie's I jumped in my truck & drove another 3 hrs. home, made for a long nite.
It was a pleasure meeting the family, including all the 4 legged
ones, hopefully we'll get to do it again in the future..
Jeff

Jeff, your quite welcome any time. Glad the trip home was better. Imagine your still a draggin your tail a lil? Thats a pile of road time just to get sand blasted by Ma Nature! The things we'll do because of these hounds...LOL!!

Wish we coulda heard'um as well so you & Charlie could hear the whole deal other than finding them treed. Guess you got to hear'um all. We just got short changed hearin the "Dude".

Was happy to show Charlie & yourself what we feed. "Patch" & two son's of his treed in three directions beleive it or not is a nightly thing. Dan be down to a buck 50 he keeps huntin them three together in these hills...LOL!

"Meathead" did what she was suposta no doubt & looked good doin it I might add! Sounds like Ya'll got & hunt the rite kind. I liked what I heard about "Mike" & "Gunner" as well. Sounds a lot like ours really. Sure hope that lil pup makes the grade. I know she'll get a better chance than 90% of them,at least. Charlie said she hunkered down rite beside him after ya'll got home.

All the ones outa that litter so far are housedawgs, for now anyway. Theirs a pile of generations of said housedawgs behind them. Dan & Anthony said theirs came pretty much house trained. Go to the door, not potty in their crates when in lockdown. They do both say their pups are bold as bold can be & full of p!$$ & vinager. Takes a long time for'um to calm down & chill. Mine are comin in after the last few go to their homes. I really been lookin forward to this cross since before "Carly" was even born. Outcrossin but the rite kinda outcrossin, for our wants & needs anyway.

We'll try to do it again if the good lord allows it.......

PS: Hope the indoor pack didn't bother ya to much..

Mike, cell still the same or ya change it to an east coast version? Waitin for me to post pictures, well,he'll be full grown & maybe gettin a lil grey...LOL!!

He's blanket backed & gona be about "Bum's" size. The one I picked & my granddaughter but we don't three males outa the same cross. Especially when I really prefer females.

He's a real nice pup but not gona shove him down somebodies throat just to get rid of him.

He's ready to rock & roll!
