okay gang I got one for ya
Saturday late got a call from a buddy said hey lets go turn loose, since i had done ticked everybody off in the house and was pretty much setting in the dark on the front porch by myself I said sure lets go...now the moon was full and pretty bright out
we pull up to a house and I just turn my pup loose out of the box while my buddy puts his on a lead...wrong thing to do Linkous, pup bayed the mans cat under a building, lights come on, aplogies accepted and on to the woods...turn loose up a creek hollar and nothing for twenty minutes but pup running around then hear buddies dog open but sounds like she is baying something so we head towards her about 370 yards to her. got to about 75 yards and pup goes to growling and carrying on with her...Im thinking oh boy what the heck have they got in a hole...walk up to them and cant see a dang thing then all of a sudden i see this thin black "stick" standing up waving back and forth...yep you guessed it a black racer and boy was it made then dogs were a dipping and a diveing barking at this thing and really having a time with it..my buddy said what we going to do that snake is pissed, i said im going to try and catch my pup then we will try and get the old dog...wrong thing to do again Linkous...dang snake decided to get after me...now if you could pitcure this 250+ pound white man moving i had not made that quick of a jump in 25 years but i did manage to get away from it without getting bite...after i relived myself from the heart attack i turn around and here comes my buddy with the dogs and said "that worked i was able to get the dogs while you handled the snake, good job" Had i been able I might have clocked him up side his head but after the snake chase I figured I was done for the night...for anyone that hasnt seen a black racer move them suckers can get up on their tail and get after you quick...I may not go until after the first killing frost...LOL
