Didn't do any good at the hunt last night,I guess that we had toooo much tree and not enough power! Dogs could not track but the trees smelled real good, made several trees but did not see a coon. Den trees, circle trees and blanks, we had two blues one plot and one black and tan in our cast, maybe if we had a walker we would have seen a coon. Wait a minute the casts that had walkers in them didn't do much better.

Congrat's to Johnny Yoder for putting a First on his young BLUE female CHIKA (sp) out of his GR NT Kit female and GR NT Crook . She is a nice female that will go tree a coon and look good doing it........Tim

I HAVE BEEN HUNTING SMURF SINCE WE GOT BACK FROM OUR HUNT BY PAULS.
SHE IS STILL TRYING TO FIND HER IDENTITY OPEN MOUTH OR TIGHT MOUTH SHE IS LEANING TOWARDS TIGHT.
SHE IS GRABBING TREES LIKE HER DADDY . TREED ON A DEN TREE, CUT HER BACK IN WENT 100 YARDS OR SO CAME UP TREED ON A BIG LEANER ALL THAT WAS SAID WAS WHO'S HER DADDY ALL 3 DOGS WERE THERE AND HAD THE MEAT
A GOOD HIDE SEASON SHOULD MAKE HER A TUFF LITTLE HOUND MAYBE SHE WILL BE LIKE HER MOM ONE THING FORSHER SHE IS LOOKING TO GET TREED.

Tim, this gyp i'm hunting for Damon is realy loud. she has made every step so far and has started one track on her own. she is a walking fire cracker. i'm liking what i see out of her so far. she hates mr. coon.

i'm going to be hunting 2 more pups out of Turk as soon as i get this one ready. i'm sure if they are like this one i'm going to come see you about pup or breeding.

The Camo dog is out of Johnny Yoder's GR NT CH Kit x GR NT CH John II and is 13 mos old. Barry told me that Camo was ready for the hunts.


The female that Eddie is hunting is out of Damon Farrel's GR CH NT CH Jude x GR NT CH John II and she is around 12 mos old but not hunted until now.

These two young dogs shoyuld make it and are out of two femalesw that are from entirely different bloodlines............Tim

took MAD-DOG JETHRO (turk x lulu ) out last night with MAD- DOG JAZZ and CAIN (b&t) we made three trees. JETHRO ran all three tracks with the older two dogs, opened a little on track and was at tree everytime. he didnt tree up on tree but made plenty of racket! not bad for only the third time in the woods. imvery pleased with his progress so far. he just turned 7 months old and had never been fooled with until 3 weeks ago.

There are several of turk's pups that tree back off the tree just sitting on their backsides and treeing their hearts out. I personally like a dog that sits back, they can stay out of trouble...........Tim

My Smoke dog ( Gn Nt John II X Mad Dog Noodles)will tree up on the tree unless there is a lot of pressure there and then he will sit back about 3 or 4 feet on his butt and chop them off at 100 to 120 barks a min.
Tim, let me know what you guys are doing this weekend. I haven't decided what time to leave for Altoona yet, get with me.

Been hunting Smoke most every night and he has looked really good here latley. Last night wasn't one of them but I think I got him a little too hyped on tree by kickin too many out. He made six trees and only had three singles. Made some good runs through the beans and cut corn then back to the big timber. I guess we're as ready for the Zone 1 hunt as we can be.
