I am trying to decide whether to breed my granite female back or not. She is coming in heat now so I don't have a lot of time to decide. Her dollar pups have just turned 13 mo. Old and five out of eight of the pups are treeing their own coons. Another is treeing with other dogs but hash't been hunted by himself. One was sold to someone in Ky. And I don't know she is doing. One out of the group is a little slower maturing. Still has a lot of play in him. Our season is opening up this week. With a few coons shot out, I think several of these pups will be ready for the hunts soon.

I'm hunting one 14 mos old that is a tough young dog has coons when he trees ant three of my buddies are hunting some that are treeing coons like old dogs right now hunted with three of them last night. Sounds like your female is doing her share in the reproducing also good crosses don't come along every day dollar is 9 yrs old now he want be around forever I will only breed him to females such as yours that are coon dogs I turn down way more breeding than I make. Let me know what u decide would rather breed for a male pup than stud fee.

Told you he was nice l hated to let him go but I knew he would get the hunting he deserved in someone else's hands all I want is for him to get a chance his kind a every seldom for sale I owned him twice I knew what he was capable of he needs bred to twenty good females to make a name for himself I know what he will throw he will look just as good n frozen ground as he does now. Hopefully I will get a female out of him for my own use.

Don't want to brag to much but I have the best young dog out of dollar I ever followed at 15 mos old he makes coon treeing look easy takes his tracks as he comes to them and puts a coon on the other end. He has. Missed a few straight up but they will be sitting close if u look but he has never missed a coon so far on a running track in the last three weeks and has a mouth to go with it. He will be pushed hard In hunts this spring I think he can win now but I want him to be right before I start to push him.

Ole driver is the dog I mentioned above Jason we have treed 35 coon in last 4 hunts including 9 last night ole driver has treed at least 10 of them he is the best I ever followed for his age he goes hunting alone or with company will get split and stay but he trees the first coon up and doesn't move turned him on a big buck deer two nights ago he went right by him and treed a coon his mouth keeps getting stronger and I thought he was already loud enough with no leaves on he is really looking good most accurate young dog I ever hunted. Thanks for all your hard work and time it has payed off with driver I ever have put a hand on he goes and gets in the kennel when we come home follows me out of the woods and gets in box he is just a super intelligent pup for his age.

I glad ole driver is doing well. His mouth? Wow is all i can say i knowed it would be better with the leaves off but it was great with them on. Wait till about january on a ole frost covered night and he throws out that long bawl and turns it over. Real mouth on a dog that u just dont hear anymore. Herman i was trien to rember and i cant say the dog was ever under a opposum down here but it is getting that time of year were alot of young dogs start treeing them and a few old dogs too. I know u like hunting him but id back off of him just a tad age will help him more than anything i think. Dont be a stranger give me a call some time. Good luck buddy

Thanks Jason the possum problem will go away no biggie I just can't believe how easy he makes it look to tree coons though don't get me wrong he struggles a little on some tracks where coons have been up a while but if he runs a track he will have it just about every time only hunting him by himself right now he will go with dogs in the box I been letting my bill dog get treed then turning him the other way he really wants to go to bill but I want let him he will go on most of the time and get treed by himself you did the best job on him that was possible in my opinion he really started clicking the second week I got him back he has to take up with u before he really operates .

$

I sold my female to a boy I was having trouble walking and wasn't going to get to hunt her like she needed. He seems like a good young man and I believe he will hunt the hair off of her.
