Yeah Robin has 6 pups. 4 males and two females. Big fat healthly pups.
They are all open spotted with good marked heads. Keeping a close eye on Robin as she didnt clean out good and have her on antibiotics. Plus this cold spell is fighting against us.
I have a real nice whelping barn and have heat lights going and two electric heaters mounted in the whelping box. They are warm as a bug in a rug.
I have not made my picks yet and will only have maybe one female and three males for sale. Im going to wait a couple of weeks to decide. Had 9 guys wanting females. Corey Robbins was 1st one to call about a female and if he still wants one that will just leave three males for sale.

Got a call from John Judkins in Ark. and he has bought a year old Smoke X Drizz female. Put her in the woods and she ran and treed with his old dog in 18 inches of water and was treeing every breath. He says she hates a coon. This was her third nigjt in the woods. He said that she will be a good one.

Tim, we got what you got and I sure dont need anymore. We are snowed in and froze in.
Im working 16 hour shifts at work and hope to be back on 8 hours by the weekend. This past weekend I had off but that has been the only days off that I have had since Christmas. Getting to old for this.

Mark, Robin has 5 super fat and healthy pups. 2 females one that Im keeping and the one Corry is getting. Im also keeping a male and one other male is tentive spoken for. The third one is up for grabs or I will start him too. These are bred to make coondogs. Their momma and daddy are.

Talked to some guys that have Smoke pups that are flat out makeing dogs. Should see them in the hunts here befor long. They look promiseing. One common statement that I hear is they are intence hard huntin coon treeing machines that are independent and one or two are that to a fault. Everybody says their pups are super loud and can flat fly on a track. Looks like we might have Smoke on the horizon.Lol

The pup are doing great. Course there is one electric heater, two element dog house heaters and two 250 watt heat lights on them. I think it would be cheaper to bring them in the house. LOL Growing like weeds and getting dark. Three weeks old saturday. Dandy looking little dudes and dudetts. I expect these to be extra special in the timber.

Roy it looks Gauge has moved into #3 current reproducers list. I'm sure Robin will do her part! Looking forward in getting that little rascal down here in Southern In. on those easy coons this summer. You and Tim hunting yet with the weather? Went last night here and it was nasty, took Rugar and all we managed was a few dens and one slick, stopped about 12:30 as the wind was wicked and the snow and ice is still in the woods pretty bad. Going to try it tonight again, should know better huh!

Pups are 4 weeks old and eating me out of house and home.
They are growing fast and are going to be good looking hounds.
Guage moved to number three on the producers list.
I will make a wager that these guys will help him out on percentage next year. I just have alot of confidance in these pups because their ped is full of producers and I know how the females produce on Robins side first hand. Guage is proveing his ability and he is out of produces also.

Dad and I went down and hunted with Scott brown last night. He has Donk a 2 year old male of smoke x drizz. Turned him loose by himself and he opened about 4 times on an old track and fell treed at 300 yds. He had 3 coons in that one. Scott lead him 10yds away from that one sent him south. He headed south over 3/4 mile then headed across open field 300yds into the wind to the west. Hit the next patch of timber opened twice and treed. Had a big one up that tree. Did a nice job windin that one. He squalls on track and steady chop on tree. We were impressed with the young dog. Scott's done a heck of a job with him. He says he can wind, run a track fast, and hold a ton of pressure. He says he likes to get by himself often. Scott doesn't competition hunt so he's letting us take him and put him in some hunts. We are excited to see how he likes the hunts. If anyone wants to see a smoke pup(coondog) go come by and we'll turn Donk loose. Thanks to Scott for letting us hunt him.

Only one male pup left out of the Guage and Robin cross. The First male pup is sold.
