Tom in the past i have let females lay but 1 good lady vet taught me a bunch once a female has a pup and lays longer than an hour means she is tired and weak, and the more chances of dead pups. After and only after she has a pup and goes longer than an hour or two give a shot of oxytocin give according to her weight i give 1/4 cc to 50 pound female this helps induce labor and will let her have the rest of the pups, i have done this more than once but not usually(Since anny has laid that long look for green discharge --- sometimes black that is not a good sign) this also is the same as most call a clean-out shot to make sure all sacks and fluids are discharged to prevent infections. As in cattle this also is very good to help the production of milk. Good luck, im going through the same 1 female due today,1 female a day over. At temps tipping 100 it is important for us to watch closely. Friday our high is predicted to be 103. We do have a.c. and overhead fans in the whelping building so it is ok. GOOD LUCK call if i can help.

Rich looks like you got one comming on, hunt it alone 3 nights a week and 1 night with others let him rest the other nights, do that for 3 months and he should be a good one with progress !!!!!!!

....................Wipeout Anny & Tioga River Rat ....................

Hi guys only 1 pup / had Anny Xrayed today no more pups 1 is better then none lol River Rat is running & treeing already & what a mouth ask Rich lol Jimmy & I got our dose of radiation treatment today lol saved me $150.00 holding Anny down instead of anesthesia / Thanks Jimmy I hope you do not start glowing !

Tom, just clicked back on for updates and see how things were going. Scat started having her pups. I know all about the stress.

Hope she's done soon----be getting dark in 3 hours, got to get them in the woods before it drops out of the 90's.Good luck !!!!!!

tom i dont need a flashlight any more to put my pups up at night lol. tom your welcome anny was the best i ever snapped a lead on bar none.never lost a cast with her. i hope rat makes you a good one ill call you later jimmy. i have one lab pup anybody wants her they can have her just come get her got to many pointing dogs to mess with nothing wrong with her.

Morning, gave Scat shot and low and behold out popped one dead HUGE HUGE HUGE pup and then live one . Got to the woods at 11:20, strange night---1st track in good blowed out ice broken tree that leand in to good HOLE WORE den. 2nd track went into grain bin, 3rd track in river bank hole, 4 th track BEST OF NIGHT treed on tied off barge rope--- not uncommon coons play up and down them and go in the barge.

Today will be the coolest of the week 94. Getting ready to slam some hunts. Real soon.

Hi Barry sure sounds like you have your hands full with pups right now good luck with them all / did you breed Scat back to Grizzly or Heat ? Were you on the Ledbetter Point when you treed off the barge rope / I like that area & 1 thing forsure you need a good hound to get them up there !

Roverdog Ruby was treeing across the road from my house last night do not know how long I was sleeping Karen woke me up when she got home at 1:00 had the grease and it happend to slip. I did not latch the kennel good when I fed her. lucky

No Tom we were hunting towards Il when this happened. Been saving the coon on the point till they mature. Thanks for the picture help last night. Bred her back to Grizzly i'm a firm believer when something works don't fix it and at this point the 31 pups out of her and Grizz have won 40,000.00. No record but way better than most.

Got to cut at 11:50 treed 1 quick, treed a slick circle and then a nother coon. Quit at 3:30.

Hey guys, 96 degrees at 7:00 p.m. hot------hunted heat early looked at 2, hunted late and looked at 1 and 2 cypress dens in some water.

The Heat Pump is nestled up to mom and staying cool. The 3 females are just doing girly things like crying.

R.J. sorry to hear-----i was poking a little fun but i didn't know you injured yourself at the mutten busten warm ups. R.J. you cannot practice this stuff on concrete sheep !!!!!!!!!! You will be in a bad way!!!!!!!!!

Roverdog congrats on the big storm that hit Pine City Ny last night. Sorry I was not there but had softball games. Would not have wanted to be from what I heard a Storm came by and wiped everything out way to go another belli and anny pup turning it on

RJ sure hope you guys never have to go through what I did but it was fun before it happend YEHAWW lol Storm Rolled on through Pine City / Distroyed Everything in his path Lightning Quick Strikes & Blowing Down Tree's / Total DEVASTATION ! Realy Pine City put on a good hunt & I will say some fine hound work in my cast lastnight & hearing the other hunters everybody had a good time ! Getting tired of donuts for breakfest though / somebody needs to get their wife or girlfrend there to cook breakfest lol

Not much goin on here been busy tryin to get our new house and stuff ready. just cuttin trees and burnin brush all the time and workin on the wifes fences for the horses and goats. Went hunting with rich and roverdog last night found out the storm was over. Rich are you still crying like I said don't worry she puts it on alot of them and most are not that young.

Treed one and caught one not a bad night.

Treed 1 ---14 minutes had 1 den 26 minutes----turned on had coon 18 minutes. Almost right. Any dog can tree the first coon quick turn them on and make them tree the second. 2 coon will win most cast. Tip of the day.

last night turned at 10:30----1st hour was a cluster,wore out 2 limbs and a cable leash----next 2 priceless!!!!!!

R.J. glad you called for some advice anytime just remember no concrete. Tell the Mrs. It will be ok. It's what happens when people spend to much time in the dark.

weatherman lied supposed to noly be 88 got up to 96, good storm rollin in going at dark make sure this mut hunts in bad weather.
