They have hunt but you have to work with them, I set on them and once they learn if they go tree one you will come, then they will go. O Stepper was the same way, once he learned he could go get treed and I would come he sure started taking advantage of it. LOL I will say that he has only been bred a couple times and he sure aint hurt the females he was bred to.

have owned Rags since he was around 1. He is 6 now and here at my house in linden. tn . I still hunt him some and he is in great shape . Has lost a little mouth but still better than most. He spends most of his time with the girls these days. I have had better dogs but none i enjoyed hunting more.

O 2 got treed tonight and on my way into the tree threw my light up in the tree and the coon was looking, went on in there and put a lead on him and told him good boy, backed up and the coon wouldnt look, circled and circled the tree and squalled and couldnt get him to look, put spotlight in tree and no luck, i thought well ill shoot up in there and maybe he will look, i loaded the gun and just fired it into the tree and hit the coon dead center, lol, talk bout luck.

I dont know if it was my good luck or the coons bad luck lol. I wasnt even shooting where I thought he was, coming in to the tree I didnt really pay attention to where he was.

Shouldnt been bragging, Bones and i went tonight, O 2, Ajax and Little Cotton treed a big cedar but couldnt find it, Then Old Cotton and Woodrow got deep and treed a Big Oak, would peek once and a while, we shot and shot and finally got him.

is making me roll up my paints leg sounds like it is getting deep. I use to hunt with a man that used a shotgun with a bent barrel if the coon only looked one time he pulled it out he new which way it was bent so he aimed to the side. He said he straighten it up in a vice.

the two Perry 's lights should never go down since they never have to shine a tree. Just shoot up there and out comes the coon. This sounds like a Jerry Clower tale.
