Mike when we call in to the ukc office to schedule hunts they use at least a 60 mile radius for conflict. A lot of weekends there are no ukc hunts within driving distance. But the other two flavors will schedule right on top of you in their turf war they know those kids would rather hunt for $$$ so what do you do ?

Hmmmm that's why there are 2 ukc hunts by me within 20 miles of each other on same night then? I can show several this year within 60 miles of each other on same night. I mean nothing towards you about it, just saying.

For instance March 31. Carmi illinois and mcleansboro Illinois. 21.1 miles between towns. But club's are more like 15 miles at max.

Well I talk to the girls to make sure. Maybe a lot of times might be clubs that want a low turn out to finish their own dogs we want all we can get to show up that's why we only scheduled 3 this year plus during July and August it's just to hot nobody wants to hunt and during deer season so you have clubs all trying to get the prime dates plus nobody can predict the whether if it's raining or storming won't nobody show its a lot to consider plus dodging the $$$ hunts. What I would like to know is where in the heck these kids get their money to run the hunts 4 or 5 nights a week and not win ?

I believe that the distances are computed by the address of who sends in for the packet, ie. club president or secretary.

Only thing that will happen in the end result, it will be harder to make NtCh/GrNtCh. Per night participation at each club will stay the same. UKC will get more money out of the owners pocket per dog to make GrNtCh.

Long story short... hunters lose more money, club stays hunting the same amount of dogs per night, UKC gets more money per GrNtCh titled.

I understand the process of scheduling, but like you said the other kc’s schedule also, so you sometimes have 3-4 choices in a weekend. Plus Ukc hunts are generally on the weekends, when the other 2 have offered hunts all week and these guys are at home, working or at another hunt. I work a lot of weekends and if I had a decent hound I would hunt during the week. Then some of the guys that hunted during the week do not have the funds to hunt 3-4 hunts a week. Hence it looks like hunt numbers are down but in reality it’s probably the same amount of dogs just scattered. As far as what to do. Offer up something, get a dog box, dog food, a light, anything. You wanna try and fund your club for a year, search for the McVay Memorial Hunt on here. They do it right.

Well that would be 38 miles. So who dropped the ball, the club's or ukc?

Tonight I went to a $kc. The club messed up on schedule and had Ukc hunt also.
The Ukc hunt had 8 dogs.
$kc 16
$kc had all hunters under 45
Ukc had all hunters over 40 except 1 who hunted for older man

The amazing thing is $kc hunters scored 3-4 Coons on each cast. Score 175 on avg CW.
Took 1050 to win the Ukc

Richard That's why BSKC is unique. We take after none.

He might be sick, but he actually started getting quiet when myself and Dave got on him. Heck he has even stopped texting and calling me. Carson said he knew who it was once he seen the picture, he remembered who it was from up on the Mountain...

UKC ought to loosen up their grip... Lettem hold both registries "hunts" simultaneously, I personally don't see no foul in it .

Ok, I will call ukc Monday morning and let them know a starving club messed up on their schedule and held two at once.

$kc will keep their wins on their guys because it no big deal

Ukc will take their show and hunt wins away from their guys.

The hunters pay the consequences of lost time money and win. Ukc gets their $

That don’t seem right to me.

Glad you all brought this rule infingement to my attention

That’s what we need. More reason not to like the KC

I got a feeling it will be ok mistakes are easy to make the guys at ukc know that all to well. Sometimes stuff just happens.
