IT AL ENDS UP BEING A MATTER OF AN OPINION!!
HERE IS A TRUE STORY..........
At a world zone hunt semi final,a cast member that was known for keeping top hounds and had placed high in PKC and UKC world hunts cut loose .His dog struck immediately and after a few minutes other dogs got struck in also. A tree was made and new ground was found.
Second turn out once again this cast member immediately struck his dog.
No other dog was saying a word.At this point the hunting judge declared he was going to minus the mans dog for babbling. All the cast members whom had no dogs opening yet agreed .
The guy protested stating his dog had a good nose and was a quick strike dog to no avail.
He immediately re-struck his dog in for 100. No other dogs were still opening yet.
The dog went about 200 yards total from turn out to tree.100 after getting minus and re-struck.Other dogs got struck in just before the tree and a coon was scored.
I absolutely believe this man was ROBBED!!
When hunting this caliber of hunt and dogs 100 points is hard to make up and yes he lost the cast.
I'm not saying everytime, however I had a dog who I rigged off of a boat, she could wind a lay up or coon on the ground consistantly. I turned loose 3 times in a hunt and 3 times she treed a coon quickly. All 3 times she was on her hind feet barking, I told the guys there was a coon here and asked if they wanted to split the strike points, they didn't. One guy wanted to scratch her for babbling, I said if that was what he wanted then on 4th turn out I would. 4th turn out only dog barking off of leash was his, and no he would not pull out. It does happen.
