I am in utter amazement at the number of people who seem to be indifferent to fighting and slick treeing.

I agree, I don't get it...putting up with slick treeing is like lying to yourself...the only person it really hurts is the one that is putting up with it.
When it comes to hunting a fighting dog, its not right, then again, when you think about it if that's all a person has for a dog why not???? Where is the deterrent???? The dog getting barred????
I still believe that if UKC really wanted to stop it they would take action against the person that knowingly enters a dog in a hunt. I have said it before...dogs do not enter themselves into a nite hunt. Why just bar the dog??? Because, although dogs don't enter themselves in nite hunts, they also don't pay the entry fee!!!!
Owner/handlers that "threaten, injure or intimidate" are dealt with because they know what they were doing...why not the person that put the mean dog in a hunt to injure another dog????

Because in the end it is all about the money. You start barring folks with "rough" dogs then you lose entries.

What amazes me is the number of guys that get on here and act like they haven't ever had a dog a little ouchy.

Only thing worse than a me-too dog, slick treer, tree jacker, face barker or mean dog is a owner that hasn't got the brass to tell the whole truth.

the only guy complaining about rough dogs are the ones whose dog aint got the nads to stay.

I'm the guy complaining about rough dogs. I've had 'em that had the "nads" to stay with roughest. Females that would have died under the tree rather than get run off. I don't want any more of them and I don't want you to have any either.

He can have all the rough dogs he wants...it sounds like he needs them to help him feel tough and big...he can keep them, he just don't need to put them in any hunts.

"the only guy complaining about rough dogs are the ones whose dog aint got the nads to stay."

This statement puts me in mind of an alcoholic that thinks everyone should respect him because he is brave enough to drive drunk.

or I could sit on here and act like a expert on every issue but it seems like a dozen or so of you boys got that one taken care of.

My point is we/us/coonhunters tend to beat a issue to death. Its going to happen... what ever you don't like or cant stand will happen on a cast. you can deal with it or stay home and avoid it

My least favorite thing is a handler who wont shut up. Seems like when you hunt for money guys don't talk as much as they do otherwise. We all know you cant scratch a guy for babbling

You are lucky...pray that it stays that way. Until you have had a good dog ate up and ruined you cant really appreciate how serious this is...

The only guys hunting a mean dog are the ones that are no good to start with. They cant beat you to the tree, so they have to beat you at the tree. The handler and the dog are no good.

I can't stand a grouchy old prick, that feels the need to belittle those around him, before voicing his opinion. In a weak attempt at adding validity to his.

Growling and snapping at one another is!

Wow, Blowing is not being aggressive. What should we call it? What do we call it when two dogs are blowing at each other?

Two dogs across a street from one another can look at each other and start a fight by simply posturing. By correcting the overly dominant body language, the fight is stopped before it began.

Posturing is no different then two men in the same room with there chests puffed out glaring at each other, blowing is like these two mean screaming and cursing at each other. Not only is blowing a sign of aggression, it's a step past posturing, and on to the screaming and yelling part.

exactly.

face barkers remind me of that mouthy kid on the playground who is too stupid to realize why he got his azz kicked. :/

the only kid I was in trouble for thumping more often was the bully who tried to push everybody else around.
