BAM GOOD PUPS ON THE GROUND!

I just got through talking with my friend Bob Janes of Hannibal, Missouri and he said his Sally female had pups last night. Bob said there was 10-11 pups. There seemed to be an abundance of females, and that they were all Redtick. If you didn't know already, Bob's Sally female is a grandaughter of my old Nite Champion Lakeland's Ruby and Briar Creek Houdini. They produced a Nite Champion son who was bred to a daughter of Briar Creek Zeb to produce Sally. These pups will go back to Junior (Breshear's Blue Boy II) a bunch of times on both sides of the pedigree. Sally is a meat dog that Bob would not have fed her this long if she wasn't a pretty good coon dog. These pups should be naturals with extra good looks, extra loud mouths, naturally straight, and natural stay put tree dogs.

I will give more information as it becomes availible.

Here is a video of a great English from the past. His name is Dual Grand Champion Clemons Irish Red Buck.

Buck was another great English out of Dual Grand Champion Clemons Treeing Bam Bam. The thing that seperated him from some of his Grand Nite Champion brothers and sister was his super cold nose and superior tracking abilty. He was great on frozen ground and crusted snow. Buck could consistantly tree coon other top coon dogs could not smell. We reckon he might have got his nose from his paternal grandsire, Bob's Cloumbo, who appeared on both sides of his pedigree. Buck was something special.

Neal, Buck was a half brother to Rusty's grandsire.

You got my vote Neal. The current President called yesterday and said she didn't like me complaining about not having my name listed in the membership listing or not getting my yearbook in a timely manner for the last 3 years on the message board. I told her too bad, she needs to see those errors are corrected. The first time I figured it happens, someone made a mistake. The second time, I was a little upset. This time I am complaining loudly! There is no need for a 4th time! I thought it was unusual she would not tell me who won the election. I reckon everyone else knew. LOL

Here is a video that features Grand Nite Champion Clemons' Pop Up Daisy, a half sister to Irish Red Buck and also Bam Bam II. Also featured is Nite Champion Lakeland's Red Hot Pepper, who is a half sister to Bam Bam II's mother.

These dogs were split treed and apparently Pepper's coon bailed out and she caught it while we were on the way to the tree. All the time Pepper was fighting the coon, Daisy held her tree with the meat. To me, this tape shows some very impressive dog work, typical of this line of dogs. I got to hunt Pepper and Daisy together alot, they were a real pair of coon dogs.

Grand Champion Nite Champion (4 wins) Coon Sackin' Sandy is in lots of English pedigrees. Her son, Totally Alsome, is on the English Historical Reproducer's List and a son of Alsome is on the Current Reproducer's List.

It has been too cold to hunt or fish so Frances Gail and I have been watching old videos that I am converting to digital. For a change of pace, I am going to post some videos of my old Buckshot strain of English. I used to breed 2 seperate strains of English and the Buckshot stain did well for me.

I thought I would offer a change of pace. I used to offer 2 seperate strins of English, my Buddy bred English and I had a strain of English I called my Buckshot strain of English.
Here is a video made several years ago of a sire, Dual Grand Champion Buckshot II, and his daughter, Dual Grand Champion Dolly, treeing a coon. They were prine examples of my Buckshot strain of English.

Dolly was concieved when we bred Two back to his grand mother, Outlaw's Widowmaker. Both dogs were medium hunters, medium to hot nosed, real fast, slashing, drifting track dogs, and could usually be called treed on their locate. I loved hunting both dogs but Dolly was a real "sweet heart" of a coon dog, she was very easy to hunt. We used to hunt Two with pups and leave him treed when the pups split treed, sometimes up to an hour or so. He always held and had the meat when we got there.

I should have raised more pups out of both of them.

I had a female littermate to Roofus and Rusty. She was making a good dog and I foolishly priced her to a guy. I don't know where she went after selling her. I reckon I should have never priced Roofus or Rusty but I am glad where they went and I am proud to call the guys who own them friends.

We got our puppy out of Grand Bench Champion Nite Champion Ranson's Bam and Spencer Creek Sally this week. After her being hauled a couple of hundred miles, she came out of the box head up, tail wagging. She is a beautiful pup. I have been raising English pups around 40 years and I reckon I have made as many English Grand Bench Champions as anyone. If I am able to go to enough shows, Ruby II will easily make a Grand Bench Champion. This video shows her at 9 weeks old. She is tough to video, she is a live wire and very busy all of the time. She couldn't decide if she wanted to smell trees or attack me. LOL. She sure is a nice pup!

I am sorry I haven't written a message or posted some videos. I have been fishin' every day and working on getting some freezers full of fresh fish. Fishin' wise, I had a slow start due to flooding and muddy water but lately, I have been catching my share. Dog wise, the only thing I have been doing is taking care of the old dogs and playing with the new puppy, Ruby II. She is a live wire. I really like her. I know she will win Bench Shows, she is a beautiful pup. And, I don't see how she can fail out hunting. She uses her nose a lot and has barked treed at squirrels. She is a dandy.
