My 18 year old nephew CJ Hatfield was seriously injured in a car accident on August 3rd 2012. CJ was left with a traumatic brain injury and LOTS of medical expenses. CJ is an avid deer hunter and would tag along with me and his dad to the coon woods often. We are having a benefit meat hunt at Lascassas Feed Supply in Lascassas, Tn (Rutherford County) October 6th to raise money to help his family with his medical expenses. We will be raffeling off a Rechargeable LED light along with other prizes. We will have Tater soup, Chili and desserts. update on little girl the vet wants her put up for 2 weeks and a recheck to see when she can be hunted again looks like ill be down to young dogs when i go

I NO THE FEELING. HAD TO LEAVE BO AT HOME A FEW NIGHTS LAST WEEK AFTER THE SNAKE BITE. I LEFT HIM HOME 3 NIGHTS AND THEN HUNTED HIM 5 STRAIGHT AND HIS FOOT SWELLED UP A LITTLE SO I HAVE TOOK OFF LAST NIGHT AND TONIGHT. HE DOES'NT ACT LIKE IT BOTHERS HIM BUT JUST PLAYING IT SAFE. PLAN TO GET BACK AFTER THEM TOMORROW NIGHT.

Update little girl is making a quick recovery I have not been back in the woods since then i do think im going to run Streak alone some this week I dont think he has ever been alone in the woods but one time last year I plan on making these dogs I own now the best pack of hounds i have ever owned it is coming together but very slowly This season has started alot better than the last 2

Made two trees last night and saw two coons, but the exciting part was when we cut the dogs loose we had an awesome race all dogs struck including my pup. When we got to them, my pup was in a brush pile and out of five dogs he was the only one who smelled like pepe le pew. Now my garmin collar,my beep beep collar, my dog box, my hunting cloths, my truck, and me all smell the same. I am so proud of him. Lol he did open on track and he barked on tree last night, he just didn't stay on tree. I am surprised any of the dogs could smell a coon over the stink that was on my dog. I would appreciate any advice on the removal of skunk stink.

tomato juice also warm water with potatoes, matter will work on getting it off I hear i always use matter juice

is anyone else having crazy races? its like the coon are in full rut. rock treed one sat. night that ran just over 1400 yards over 800 yards of the race was threw thick laurels. he ran it like it was hot then fell treed without pausing. i was on top of the ridge and heard the hole thing. it took me 3 hr and 15 min. to get in and out after he treed. i thought he may have had a bear but had a coon. this makes 3 times he has done this so far.

ITS HARD TO GET PICTURES WITH THE LEAVES ON. YOU HAVE TO BLOW THEM UP SO MUCH TO SEE THEM IT DISTORTS EVERYTHING. NOT SURE WHAT THAT IS ON THE RIGHT BUT NO FOR SURE WHAT WAS IN THE TOP.
I HAVE HAD A FEW LONG RACES. MOST OF THEM START OUT SLOW AND GET BETTER AS HES GOES. BO'S A REAL COLD NOSED HOUND THAT CAN TAKE A BAD TRACK A LONG WAY AND TREE A COON AT THE END.

idt my old dog ran a coon like that last night,i thought it was a deer she was running she was moveing it so fast.she never located, just went into treeing her tail off. she treed 5 times last night,3 dens,another tree i couldnt see good at all and had the coon in another.iam hunting a little cur pup that was in on 4 of the trees.i dont know if the pup will make it but he hunts harder then any dog ive ever owned.i hunted 7 hours last night and that little devil was still blowing and going until i got to the truck.lol
