Right around the corner

Made a short hunt last night with Ed's Reject ( 6 Again X Joanie) and the May Flower female( 5 Again X Flower-mother of 6 Again) Treed it up an Oak with lots of Muscadine Vines and on a full moon at that--have people tell me you can't tree them on a full moon and they are absolutely right. If you don't go, you can not tree them. The ground had plenty of the ripe grapes on it and thats a good thing. Hogs don't seem to inhale these like they do acorns. All the coons will feast for a good month, especially the young ones. We noticed a good many on the way out as well, but in all honesty we were really watching out for SNAKES-this starts their silly season too! Coon was found pretty low in the vines, may have been others-but we did not see them if they were. Do think some of you people spend too much time either at the truck or at the tree. That Garmin is great but it still can't tell you everything thats going on out there--besides a young dog likes to know you are around -just something else to think about. Good luck and when I can help-let me know!

Eric, Steeb 63, and WV-bluhunter

Thanks for the post, pictures and videos--you get more credit for keeping all this current than I do. It's nice to know that so many of you have been up to hunt with Ed and Terry--often times other hunters will be visiting and you encounter a virtual who's who of the Bluetick World. Great to be in an atmosphere where everything is geared towards you, Blue dogs and hunting. My feeble attempts to recreate that kind of hospitality fall far short, but will say we have come pretty close on occasion. I've located another male from 6 Again and should know alot more about him after Autumn Oaks. College Football (SEC) and hunting season are oh so close--go hand in hand for many of us--it's been one long hot summer--here is hoping your season is the best ever and as Rance Winn says--is it 2012 yet? I give him alot of credit--he is not afraid to ask questions of anyone--questions that some can't or won't answer!-hmmmm. Good huntin-especially the 54.

Buzzard's pups-John

You posted a picture of Penny who is bred to Boomer right now--are the pups in the pen in the background the Buzzard pups? Both of these crosses sure are interesting to me. Just think with 29 pups on the ground Buzz has more than half the entire total 6 Again sired. Those chickens look like mine--are they free range chickens? I tried that but my dogs are faster than my fowl--what's left are pretty quick--may try to breed up some three legged chickens! If I was a bettin man, which I am not, I'd say some of these grand pups of 6 Again are going to be to be able to tote their on mail, I'm investing heavily in that very prospect where breeding is concerned. Good luck with Jr.--doesn't cost any more to feed a pretty one. It is really nice to know so many of you are doing so well with these dogs. Do like I do --when folks ask me -How many Walker Dogs did you have to beat to finish all these Blue Dogs?--I say --All Of Em!!! Thanks again.

Dwight my number is 478-361-7703-if you are still on and see this give me a call-I tried to get Casey and Tony to get your number but no luck. rance I know about the dog in Kentucky-thanks for letting me know also. Thought i might make it up for Autumn Oaks after all but it is not to be--gonna be here with my boys--my oldest son will leave Macon on Sept. 6th for Mexico and possibly South America. He will be pedaling-he has done it before-from Macon to Mexico City. He was in the Peace Corps in Africa, but I worry more about him now than I did back then and I worried alot back then. So if you guys in our Southern states along his route see a loaded down bicycle headed west try to cut him a little slack and give him a little room--that's my boy.

Badgirl Blues

CW, I took Blues out the last couple nights. The wound appeared it had healed, but with a scar. Night before last she treed five seperate tree's with six coon seen. Last night, she seemed a little stiff in the front, but I went ahead and hunted her. Last night the first two turn out's were hole jobs....The third drop, she treed and seen two coon and a possum in the same tree. Had me scared for a minute, untill I seen the two coon.....The 4th drop she treed and seen two coon in that one too, minus a possum. The 5th drop she treed in the middle of the swamps, about two feet deep, and had one coon in that one, (That one fell out somehow). The 6th drop was a hole job and when she came back, she was limping pretty good, favoring her left sholder. So we went home and took some pain pills, and went to bed. I think I'll let her muscles heal a little more.
Here she is after a bath, still favoring the left shoulder.....

Bad Pic, but Coon w/possum.

John and Eric

I have spent a good portion of this afternoon trying to post photos on here. Had someone helping that knows a lot more than I do--did not get it done-looked at the frequently asked questions--anyway if you have a cheat sheet on how to -send it to me. I enjoy the ones that you have posted. If the dog in Ky. is really worth 300 then he is worth 600 or he ain't worth nothing. When people get pups from me, sometimes free or two or three hundred dollars, I tell them you should not be getting a pup you want to make a five or six hundred dog--you should come to me because you want a 5 or 6 thousand dollar dog! Eric--Blues may lemp or favor that leg after you hunt her for awhile. When you do take her out again watch her real close--swimming is a lot impact form of exercise that should strengthen her and help her to heal without much risk of injury. She may ignore the discomfort while she is hunting and only favor it after each tree or later on each night. Hopefully this will just be a bad memory for you two very soon. One way or another look for pictures on this post from me soon!

upload the pictures to somewhere like photobucket.com
click the IMG code under the pic when uploaded at photobucket.com and paste it here. Its just at the end. so it ends up looking like this
"IMG]link to pic[/IMG]"
if you use photobucket then you just copy what they have under your pic for the IMG code.

Casey's Tech Support

Thanks again Casey, I was going to call you on this any way. Back in Feb. was when I first started pecking on a computer--in school way back in the dark ages-computer science was an elective and my grade point average could not have handled a low grade, but I am glad to be crawling and maybe I can get to a walk one day. My last post I meant to say swimming is a low impact-but I could not go back an correct it-hope that clears that up. Every subject under the sun comes up related to these dogs. On one they are talking about speed and drive, track driving and brains--Right here and now I am going to tell on me and my dogs--on more than one occasion I have gone into what I thought was a weird sounding tree to discover a deer strectched out--just have to channel all that desire and speed onto the right game ; cause I have also did the same thing and get to them and found what was left of the coon. Flower 6 Again's dam took a track out of the country one night. We picked up the other dogs that had either quit or had simply got so far behind (over a quarter of a mile) and put them in the box. I slid the truck to a stop on the last road in the area, got out and heard her treeing. I found the Bear about half-way up the tree with his tongue hung out, lathered up and breathing like a man in cardiac distress! Some of these can run on the front end of anything.

click the IMG code under the pic when uploaded at photobucket.com and paste it here. Its just at the end. so it ends up looking like this
"IMG]link to pic[/IMG]"
if you use photobucket then you just copy what they have under your pic for the IMG code.

That's how I Do it!!

CW

He was all coondog its a shame that more people didn't breed to him. I have a female here that I got as a pup just to breed to him but he went to soon.

I will bred her to the next best thing out of him My Junior dog. I will says this now it's a Shame that the bluetick guys don't want to bred to him but soon they will when they see what his pups are doing. I have a lot of thoughts but will hold them back don't want to go to far. Joe
