PLEASE TELL THEM AGAIN! They all get mad when I tell them. As for me Iam wanting to work with everyone. There are some English people who do not want to work together. It is getting better. I start trying to ex.and always am critized some how. I agree we need to work together for a better breed. We are starting to work a little better now than when I started. I try to tell the truth as best I now it. We call things diff. but do the same thing. EX. ability, nat., consistance are the same. We want a good coonhound. We need to get everyone together and work out our problems and move on. I think most of us are doing about the same things when you get down to it. Just using diff. hounds.

I think we all have been took. One thing to look for is a person who does not jump to the defence of their hounds. I for one am not trying to sell you anything. How about this Eric said you could have his Casper pup. I am offing you a Feebee pup just come and get him. I would offer you a Casper pup but I don't have any now. I should have some soon. I want HONEST hunters to take my pups and hunt the hair off them. They MUST have a good home. Sounds fair to me what about you.

All Grand Pedigrees

I have nothing against them. They are what they are.

But, I do disagree with your philosophy on breeding. It seems as if titles are your objective in breeding. I'd prefer a breeder that bred for top coondogs first and foremost. If the titles are there, fine. If not, fine. Breed for coondogs first and foremost.

So, you've BOUGHT dogs with titles and pedigrees. BIG DEAL. Anybody can do that (if they can afford it).

John Ferrari has been sucessful in breeding coondogs. That's a credit to John. You've bought dogs of his line that were already trained and finished coon dogs. This does not qualify you as a breeder or trainer of top coonhounds.

How many top coon dogs have you raised yourself, trained yourself, and titled yourself? THAT'S IMPORTANT!!! Why would I, or anyone else, want to buy a pup from someone that can't breed, raise, and train their own?

Tell us about the pups where you have made the cross, raised the pups, trained the pups, and made those pups into coondogs.

I'm not that far away from you. Your name has never been mentioned when it comes to breeding or training top coondogs. Maybe it will be in the future?

You need to tone down a bit because you ain't done nothing yet!

Yes I got hounds from John but none was finished. I had to train them to be coonhound here. Sometimes that is not so easy.
I have dog in the hunts that I have trained and I have some young hounds getting ready for the hunts.
I finished 5 hounds into GRNTCH THIS YEAR. How many did you finish?
I have hunted for 5 years and the reason is started is because our breed around here needed some help.
It does not matter how or where I got my hounds. The only thing that matters is I GOT THEM. It sounds like you are jealious. You must be one of the old breeders in my area. Most young guys do not want to start licking old timers boots. We are ed. and know how to get what we want.
John has helped me a lot with my breeding. I have 100 years at my finger to help with my breeding from some of the top breeders. So now you tell them they are wrong. They are the ones who made me and you can make room because I AM MOVING IN.
People like you are what our sport do not need. You have had years to run it in the dirt and that is where it is. I beleive if we will get over the put me down stuff and work together we will have a better breed and better hounds. We might even become friends if you would get to know me.

You live close to me so I invite you to come down. Bring your hound and we will go hunting. Then we will know who has a coonhound.
When I started I had a old PR dog called Flash. I took him all over and hunted into some of the best English out there. I brought only the ones that could beat him. He is now 10 but I will hunt him against anything. He is starting to get old and slow so you should win right. So post your name and we can solve our diff. I am willing to let the hounds solve it are you. I have been hunting in PA. and I am still to see a real English coonhound that I drawed. I know there are some I just have not drawed them. I have drawed some good hounds but most were from W.V. I do not get to far into PA. I hunt just a few hunts. I will tell you one thing about PA. I have drawed a lot more cheaters there. They may not have been from PA. but they were cheating in Pa. I have some good friends in PA. and have a few litters in Pa. and I am not putting anyone down. I am putting it down the way I see it. This put me down stuff is why our sport is going to the dogs. So lets get together and work it out. I only offered my hounds to help out the English breed. I have no trouble selling my pups. So if someone doen't want to breed to one of my hounds I could care less. I got good females to breed of my own. So don't put down what you know nothing about. Try finding out and them you can say what you want and it will be the truth. All I am asking is come try what I got and judge for yourself.

Is this Cody? If so I can hook you up with tee's with a pic. of your hound on it. My wife has trans. and a screen printer. We also have hat presses to make hats. When you make transfers on a computer they will not last as long as a factory transfer. I still have some I made in 2003. All you have to do is watch how you wash them. You have to do this with any transfer. If you want some let me know.

There are several pups under Triple D. Most are young hounds and most are looking good. Tpiple D is the name of my kennel. All the pups we finish to Ch have Triple D in their names. I will post the litter when Casper pups are born or you can tell me what you want and I will keep it for you.

To answer your PM. I gave my word to Eric that I would. Where I come from you give your word and you keep it. So now you know the real reason. I gave my word and I am going to keep it. I have to agree with you on this.

Hey Joseph -

Not to pick an argument, but why are you not giving your other pup a chance before you go and pick up another?

Regaurdless of the ads you read, I have never seen a pup that came out perfect at 8 months old. It always takes many trips to the woods to line em out. Adding another pup is just going to complicate things for you. Besides, it sounds like your current pup has some potential.

Hey Don

You should look at the offspring from Buckley Creek Timber to cross on your casper dog. I have references .John has hunted with Timber. I am going to breed Freckles that I got from Eric H. This summer this will be a good gross as well. Timber comes from a litter of 6 only 3 are living today all three are Grandnites.
If a person Looks at the open dogs in some of those Quality hounds without all grand pedigrees, I think the Question has to be asked why was that good female (or male) not campaigned to a Gr. Nt. Title? There may be many differing reasons for this,to many to list here. My point is that if you research a hounds traits, and that dog or line has strong points where another line is weak, making that cross regardless of titles may potentially help the breed. I say may help, because nothing in breeding hounds is an ironclad guarantee.
Congrats on what you have done with the dogs you have worked with.
I agree with John we need to work to improve the breed.
Our slogan should be Quality is JOB #1
