NEVER BEFORE HAVE I HEARD A DISCUSSION ON WEATHER YOU MUST HAVE 2 registered dogs to have a cast!!! ITS HAPPENING ALL OVER THE PLACE THIS YEAR.

having 2 or 3 registered dogs show up for a hunt is horrible. I understand that HTX is a way for UKC to draw a little more money, but the efforts need put into uping entries befor the need to have a registery goes away completely.

NUMBER OF HUNTS MUST GO DOWN, and performance money must go up. PERIOD

I would think one would help the other. Some of the ones that don't like the nite hunts will come to the HTX, make friends and come to the hunts.

SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA.

HUNT ATTENDANCE DROPPED AROUND HERE WHEN A FEW GUYS STARTED DOMINATING THE HUNTS BY GUIDING THERE OWN DOGS OVER FEEDER BUCKETS EVERY WEEK. THERE ARE SEVERAL CLUBS AROUND HERE, THESE GUYS CAN GUIDE FROM ALL OF THEM. THEY HUNT THE DOGS OVER THESE FEEDERS NITE AFTER NITE. THEY DO NO WHERE TO GO. ( TALK ABOUT HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE ). OUR CLUB IF YOU TREED TWO COON YOU HAD A DARN GOOD CHANCE TO WIN. NOW IF YOU DO NOT DRAW ONE OF THE FEEDER GUYS YOU MIGHT AS WELL STAY HOME GUYS KNOW THIS AND DO NOT ATTEND.

THIS IS NOT THE ONLY PROBLEM THERE SEEMS TO BE QUIET A FEW. FEWER CLUBS IS NOT THE ANSWER EITHER. GAS PRICES CAN BE BROUGHT INTO THE EQUATION. JOB CUTS, PRICES GOING UP, A MAN HAS TO USE HIS MONEY ON HIS FAMILY NOW!!.

I started this thread a long time ago. All I wanted to know was why when we are all hunting coondogs why we gotta get all fired up when UKC provides another way for us to enjoy our dogs. I don't think an HTX should be a prerequirset to anything. And I don't think they should replace the night hunts. All they are is a different way for us to enjoy our dogs. So I say do your thing. Comp hunt em, HTX em, Pleasure hunt em, or show em. Just remember if you don't feed it, it dosen't have to please you.
