I could get into that spectator thing.........."I THINK"?...............LOL!!

Clyde, We've had a lil taste of the 50's the past few day's but goin back towards "Normal" I guess....LOL!!

Even with the heat wave we was wadin through snow well above our knee's last night in the timber. Gonna take more than a few day's to get rid of all this.

70's would be good as long as it slip's in slowly. The creek's are bank full & beyond in some case' already. Sounded like raging river's cuttin down the bottom's.

"SIBLING'S"

Matt & I had a good hunt last night with littermate's "Patch" & "Moe".

Flat wheeled a track to a deer pen or something we didn't even know existed on top of a bigggg hill/small mountain. Mercy was we glad they didn't get inside of that!!

Took a bad track & got it rollin only for it to end up on "Den tree knob"...LOL!! Some awful commossion for just two dog's. Had every housedawg/yard mutt in this part of the county raisin cane!!

We was a grinnin....................................."AGAIN"!!

Thank's Tom. He has the coloring we continue to strive for & one of the better in the conformation department as far as the total package goes that we have raised to date. With his natural ability in the timber & the rest make's him the kind I alway's have strived for.

"PURTY" vertically & horizontally ya know...................!

If there is maybe we could get her a ride that far and i would come to your place when the weather would make for a better hunt. Let me know if you hear of anybody headed that way and i will help them on the travel if they will give her a ride.

Russ, good talkin to ya. Tell Bobby that taxidermist's name is Chris Heying and his number is 641-394-4412. I will try soon here and get a picture on here of the coon he did for me. He is pretty good. I want to say I paid like 325-350 for it about 3 years ago.

"COPY"

Alway's enjoy shootin the bull with you Zach. Brighten's my day with your enthusiasm!!

I told 'ol stub 'bout your taxidermist & we'll be checkin into it & thank's for the contact info!!

Didn't think it would be that hard to find one to do a coon? Guess majority around these part's are just deer head stuffer's. I'd really like to get into that myself but the full spectrum from lil to large, fur to feather's & even the scaled type.

Coulda,shoulda,woulda...........................

"OBSESSED"?

Have ya ever seen a dog try & put their own trackin collar on? I hang them all on this do-dad & last night when it was time to go out for the final peee of the night "Patch" managed to get three of the four collar's offin the hook that is at a 45 degree angle & had one in his mouth flipped up over his eye's. Came rompin to me like a pup that had just freshly found their first leg bone off a deer.

Imagine his dissapointment when I took it from him & hung it back up as well as the other's that had fallen between the wall & the magazine storage facility once I got'um fished out.

Had me grinnin one minute & feelin bad the next with the depressing look when I hung'um back up.

When we stepped out to make yeller snow as a group under blizzard like condition's,wind comin down the pipe at 30 mph & drastically dropped temp's he got up on the tailgate & was diggin at the door of the Owen's!

Thinkin he "REALLY" wanted to go huntin but I could be wrong? Have been before...............

Hey Russ

I think this may have been one of those "few" times that you were smarter than Patch!! LOL Then again, after seeing Bum with frozen whiskers, maybe Patch knew what he was doin'. Can't wait for the winter stuff to end. We just had two nights of OK weather and back to nasty tonight. Seems it always gets nasty when I'm off from work, go figure. Stay warm, springs on it's way!

Collars

Dogs are amazing to me... Just the other day Bob needed to fix one of the little metal "studs" on one of our dogs collars... it is VERY upsetting to them when the collars are off...even for a moment or two.. I've had times they were playing and one came off and it's like the world stops! They often try to put them back on... and these are just ID collars with tags... It has always made me wonder what they are thinking??? MINE are not as Smart as yours....but they still amuse us

Hope that you make that cross again...I like em! and if I were a Hunter...and had a cent of my own...LOL... I'd ask to go on that list too! LOL... Have fun TT!

Ron, you quite possably could be correct on that one but I gotta wonder sometime's ?

"Bum" attempted to dissapear into the north wind & the darkness rite outa the gate but I got him wooo'd up. There was some scent comin down the holler on them thermal's but I wasn't up to. Had a bad case of the shiver's!

"MAYBE" I shoulda put a shirt on & some shoe's??

Mine actually enjoy not havin their collars on unless it's dark Heather. They will roll around & do the back leg scritchy thing as if to say"DANG THAT FEEL'S GOOD"!!

Kinda like me when I get to lean my long handle's in the corner till next fall!!

LOL... Well... the Visuals... TT rolling necked in the scratchy hot summer grass....LOL....

Even my dogs growing up wanted the collars on... UNLESS they "crate up"... knowing they will NOT be collared then? Oh Heck all ours are mentally challenged...

LOL......

"ADDICTED"

Havin flashback's of yester-year. "Patch" is reminding me a lot of "Toad" in his intense desire.........

Oh how I wish I could compete in the hunt's again & pound the timber without stumblin along.

This hound has got some pretty intense capabilities to showcase if'n I was able to.

As him & the "Bum" was smokin a coon deep last night in single digit temp's & loaded up on the wood I couldn't help but to reminisce about the countless night's of huntin "Toad" & "Luke" together & all the great female's with their huge heart's . The collection of genetic's that is attributed to his being is flowin like a river. Bit's & peice's of hound's we have enjoyed & followed through the year's have reached a level of fruitation that cause' me to do a lil pondering.

That "WHAT IF" thing ya know?

Mercy am I ever fallin for this one in a big way. He has that lil extra to bad he can't slap the pavement edge big time & his sister "Moe" is the same exact way.

"YEP", we're fixin 'ta have some fun & ya might say I have an addition to my addiction & I ain't lookin for a cure.............
