It was nice to meet you in person.I sure did enjoy talking to you and Wayne,we have talked a lot on the phone but in person is much better.Wane has spoke highly of you and he is right.your doing good with the youth it is nice to see someone take a interest in guiding them like your doing.it sounds like your going to have some booming mouths on your soon to be litter,doubling on sooner should be good,I bet it will work for you.Andy sounds like he is going to be a keeper that`s for sure. my Jim dog looked good last night he is working on being something special.Wayne did get his light fixed,go pick him up I`m sure he would take you down by the river.thanks for everything keep in touch.

hi matt thanks for sending a really nice pup. i sure like her. i haven't picked out a name yet for her. i can't wait till she is big enough to hunt. the stinger- diamond pups look very nice. mike is doing a great job with them. this should be an excellent cross for either coon or big game. i'm looking forward to getting mine. sounds like you had a nice trip. i hunted a couple times after we got home, i had to go back to work today. it's not as cold as some years only 10 below this morning. thanks again dennis

Matt I sure would like to go to the grand american someday. Or one of the bigger events. Never have been. Kinda my dream. Iowa is far away from any of these events.

I should grab Duane Sloan and come to OA next year. He's been there before.

Glenn,I`m glad your liking her and thanks for giving her some quality time.thats what she needs thats for sure.matt thanks for the kind words.I`m sure stinger will do his part.these guys with these nice females are a big part of it all.I think the female is as important as the male.I sure enjoy a good young hound coming on.I just pulled in and the roads were covered with ice .I think it was the first time I ever drove on ice without giving it any gas.if I give it any gas I was spinning.Tom Jennings won his cast with Turbo Blue tonight it gives him over 100.00 in pkc. I`m sure hes not done hunting him in the hunts.

I only hunted her the first night i picked her up.I`ve been hunting my Jim male.we had a good bluetick hunt last night after the pkc hunt.Jeremy hunted his Misty female and Tom hunted his female off of Pop O Top and I took Fly. we did get to see one with all the girls inside a den,then toms female treed one on the out side .we called it quits the rain was turning our roads into ice skating roads.hows your weather been doing?they are calling for snow through weds here.when you get a chance give me a call let me know how Big Boomer is doing.

Matt Dixie did it by herself tonight turned her by herself at 6:00 trailed for 30 minites and treed had the coon on the outside back home by 8:00 nice little hunt she sure makes me happy, the wife told me I needed a nite off I told Ill be home on Sunday nite Im having a blast with her thanks again Glynn

Matt, that one looks Smokey River too. These Smokey River dogs sure have been good as long as I have had them.use an outcross when you need to. David's pup Rowdy out of Boss and Daisymae is really doing good he's starting to trail and is a hard tree dog.David is really proud of him might just have to breed Dixie to Rowdy next year. Glynn

Matt, I have some bad news about Lucy.
She got out of my kennel sometime yesterday or today and I found her hit on the road. I looked in the dark and called her, nothing. I went home and got my lite. My wife went with me. We called some neighbors around there and finally one said what did it look like. My wife knew right then he saw her somewhere. Then he told her he thinks he saw her on the shoulder not far from the house. She was covered in snow. Im at least thankful he saw her and told us. Bad deal. I was out at my kennel around 3:00 cleaning bedding and adding new the day before.
She dug out from under the kennel around the wire and escaped.
Makes me sick. Not my dog, my uncles dog. He understands that things happen. but she was in my possession. My fault somehow.
I sure wish the person that hit her would have stopped and called the name on the collar. I just hope she didn't lay and suffer.
She was going to make a nice dog Matt. All I can say is sorry for not being able to help promote her and her parents.

I`m sorry to hear this ,Its not your fault things happen and I`ve had them get out of my kennel here too.that cross has had two hit by cars not while hunting.Glenn from ga.told me he puts a shocker on the dog and ties them out by the mail box and shocks them when a car gets close with the head lites on.it would work in the day to.not a bad ideal.this may give you more time with Big Boomer. keep in touch matt.
