Is anyone working to get an all htx pedigree?

Over the last 4 years we have owned 3 all-grand pups which all made real nice coondogs....all three had rat and harry up close. I feel some of the all-grand breeders are trying to go in the right direction.I don't know Travis Brown but know enough about him if he is making a cross it'll be a coondog cross first and foremost.

Just about any knothead can be made nitech...if it's not finished to grnitech,,more than likely it can't be.That doesn't mean it isn't a coondog...just means the hound/owner doesn't have the drive to get it done.

As for PR dogs that are said to be COONDOGS.....if I had one and competition hunting weren't my thing...I would at least get the htx title.

The all-grands haven't been promoted for too very long. I've seen many win at club hunts with lots of competition, seen'em win at bigger hunts, and seen'em lose as well just as I've seen all the hounds win and lose some. A coondog is not made by papers! I personally own 2 all grand females out of crosses that were made by Travis Brown, and they're as good as any hound, regardless of breeding that I've hunted with in the last several months. They are qualified for the world so we will try our luck to be the first! I also own 2 pups that are not all-grand, but they have a good bloodline out of some nice coondogs. They are just getting started, but they are well on their way. Those papers just give the history and some knowledge about possible traits if you've hunted with any of them. The coondogs are made in the woods! Many pups regardless of breeding are never given the proper chance to earn the title of being a coondog!

X Jr. and Insane Jane were both all grand world champions. There may have been others also but those are the first two that come to mind.
