We had a blast this past weekend.
National Bluetick days is one of my favorite weekends.
We didnt do any good but Smoke looked great just couldn't get the last coon to look.LOL
Smoke was pouring it on and we were very happy with his performance.
I want to say everybody that we hunted with were class acts and it is refreshing to go to a hunt and have guys call their dogs and not try and minus everyone elses dog just so they can win. No arguements and just great guys with great dogs.
Im allready starting on pups to get ready for next year.LOL

Talked to Mark Heffner from MI. and he is fired up on Smoke pups.
He has one from the first cross on Drizz and said she is a super good young dog. Been runnin and treein her own coon since she was 11 months old.
Vernon Brown from Ga. bought a Smoke X Drizz pup that just turned 5 months old and she is running and treeing with Marks year old female. Mark is training Vernons dog also.
Mark has trained alot of dogs over the years and he said these pups are the best most natural easy starting pups he has ever messed with.

Been getting alot of calls about pups and we don't have any right now. We have bred two females this past week and will see if either one took.
Litter one will be out of a Jet 6 and Levi bred female
Litter two will be out of a Mad Dog bred female top and bottom for 5 generations or more.
First come first serve. All pups will be performanced.

We are not just trying to sell pups, as everyone knows that is a money loseing business. We believe in the crosses we are makeing and are trying to produce a better compition style hound with every cross we make. Plus you can enjoy pleasure hunting them also.

Thanks guys. Smoke looked really good last night. Had all first trees and got way off byhimself on the last deal. Gonna get him in shape and try hard to get through the zones.
Ole Smoke is gettin back in shape and will be hittin some hunts.
Now that Timmy has him Qualified for the World we will hit the Zones and cross our fingers.
Two females were bred last week to Smoke so by the end of July we will be expecting some pups. Have to get the air conditioner turned on by then.
Still getting calls on pups. One is booked from Texas and one from Canada. Now that is called spreading them out.LOL
Working young dogs in the woods and waiting for little puppies to get old enough. Got some barn burners in the makeing.
Next week we get our pups from Norm out of his Candy female.
Man o man are they some lookers. Got high hopes for these two.
Zone ! Hunt and Show at Marshall, Mo. next weekend. Going to be trying to get a female out of Smoke ready for the hunt and show. Might even hunt the ole man himself.

Jacob Hanson has a 6 month old Smoke pup out of the Drizz cross that is running and treeing good on a turn loose coon. He sent me a video and little Moe looked good. Super loud mouth on him. Jacob turned loose a cage coon and it went up a little tree so he shook it out to Moe. He pulled Moe off and the coon got away and moe picked up the track and opened and ran the track and treed it in a big hollow snag. The pup is on fire.
Jacob is getting a Smoke X Wendy pup this Sunday from me to go along with his other one.
Just need time now to watch these pups out of Smoke make their mark. Should have some showing up in the hunts this fall or next spring. Everybody that has one says these pups are natural all the way.

Mark says that his year and a half old female is solid enough to train her little sister with. Mark say that the 5 month old female is ready to start takeing by her self.

Took Hic (Smoke X Drizz) to the Zone 1 Show and hunt this last weekend. She had cut her foot real bad a couple nights befor so couldn't hunt her. She did show good though. Picked up a class and breed win friday and then Saturday she won class, breed and BFOS. Thats two Best of shows under two different judges. Her first one was at Clinton.
Her foot is healing but it will be at least two weeks or so befor we can hunt her. Guess that gives us time to work on the other pups we have started.
Mark and Corey Robins brought down my two Smoke X Candy male pups and I can't thank them enough for going out of their way to get them for me.
Due to misunderstandings and assumptions I have edited this. Everybody is good with the pup delivery.
These two males are outstanding looking pups and I believe they will be special down the road. They have COONDOG writen all over them.

Roy you and your son Tim have some nice looking hounds / pups. If we were not dog poor we sure would have brought one back with us. I'm sure down the road we will be looking for one to put in the hunts here in southern in. as we don't see many Mad Dogs around here, hint!!!! Yea I already tried this with Paul and Tim also!

female comming to see Smoke this weekend. I haven't hunted with her but guys that know what a coondog is told me she is super nice. When I get her here I will find out her full ped.
GrNiteCh Robin is in her 10th day of heat. She will be bred in the next couple days.
The two Smoke X. Candy pups are a blast to watch. Last night I had a chicken trying to roost above the pup pen and both males reared up on the pen and cut it loose. They got that natural tree instinct down pat. LOL They are just 8 weeks old.
