Hi Jculler8 nothing like seeing a hound crank it up a notch ! Have you set your female up to not cover other hounds or is it natural ? Good hunting with your male !

Hi Barry I think the soutern states get more hounds started easier ect due to the fact the coon population & weather is much better we can end up not even hunting a young hound for 3-4months a yr due to snow & you get into NY & this is a fact / so these guys are using there heads & buying hounds from Southern states that have had alot more time put on them in the woods ect ! Now me I hunt NY/Pa hounds I know I am partner with a NY res. on a hound But this nice young hound was trained in Pa. I am going to try & keep everything I own & hunt out of NY & Pa hounds ! But you know the hounds we have all are out of dogs from the south lol You Southern guys have done us Northern guys well with the hounds you have bred ! Storm is off NY Stylish Belli X Pa Wipeout Anny ! Good luck with Crack I look forward to seeing him go !

Lets all give a GREAT BIG CONGRATS to mr. Barry Hall not for talking all the smack of coming and putting a clinick on at the state hunt but for coming all this way and putting a clinick on at the 3rd annual Tom and Rich Muttin Busttin championship. Now Barry's boy did get into some pretty good money sat night, But Barry got in alot deeper he took it all night and when all was said and done Rich's trophy was gone. Way to go Barry the poor kid is heart broke now lol. Baryy you say they may be twee dogs but I see a couple of them took a good chunk of change home with them good job talk to ya later

Hey Roverdog... no I havent ever set my female up. She just turned 3. I pound her by herself 90% of the time and that has just made her ignorant. She is a pretty darn accurate dog at doing that too. She will cover if there ain't nothing else around to stick her nose in though.


Hows the weather been up there? We got some rain last week down here and tracks are A1. Kits are down and running too!

Tom, i commend you all for your year round hunting in an area that next to anartica !!!!!!!! My peronal belief is the guys in the south breed for coondogs and not worry about all grands and the big thing up north is jealiousy. Worst place in the world for that most people up there will drive 500 miles before breeding to a coondog next door. Hope you continue to have great success.

R.J. my Mutten Busten days have been complete i have came out of retirement to bring in one more title !!!!!!!!! Thanks for complimenting Elijah, he deserves it !!!!!!!!! You will never hear me complain about getting beat as long as it is done right!!! If you can't take loosing DON'T GO.

Bill Kriner, Pat called me at 3:15 this morning said you all had a real hunt,complimented Kate real well. Good dogs make good hunts.

Crack update----picked him up, Tues--turned loose 6 times hunted 5 hours, Wed. won 50-- Thurs. hunted early and late---Fri. Drew Zeb 3 and Jeff Travis, had great hunt Crack treed first coon--- Zeb treed last one great hunt. Hard to beat a seasoned hound with a handler that just won a ton with the pup we just got. Turned him loose 1 time after hunt did a great job. Sat----got in one with more than he can handle at a year old he quit !!!!!!!
Training begins!!!!!!pup is TIRED after a 3 week lay up.

Your info was right ole max is a barry breed dog and toomy did say he looked good treed 2 on his own. Max is a dog that usually looks pretty good and a good share of the time has the grease.

R.J. since i had to have a 1 inch U joint put in Kong he normally keeps out of the mud but i did suffer from a locked nut at this last event. I did get lubricated and all ended on the UP and UP !!!!!!!!

Glad Max done well for Dave and Tom 2 fine fellows.

rj thats quick u must live at work lol. took all 3 out sat. night ran tough track in swamp to big pond all gave up no tree but some awesome trailing ran over a hour. sammy sure sounds nice was within 50 ft of 2 deer in middle of swamp they never moved good hunt even thou no coon seen !!!

I won't be making it to Tioga on Saturday it's my bachelor party. I made Magic a nite ch at Springville on Saturday. She treed the only coon we saw all by herself. Darren picked up a win toward grand. Pie scored 275+ and the other dogs were all at minus.

Tom congratulations on the win with Max. Who else won their cast at Tioga?

Tom,let R.J. know i will not be defending my title, i am retiring from Mutten Busten it will be up to him and Rich. Once you have encountered lock nut in this event it causes permenant damage for the training and many hours of pounding you have to do for the main event. It is to much on an old athletes body. I will announce my retirement on ESPN June 12.

The hounds are hard at it even got one bred in the field last night, a young fellow pulled his female out of the box and cut with our 2 males treed a coon and then Heat was 600 on track heard Crack and female treed 420 another way when they got there well enough said. Crack was Crack'n. Talk about lock nut!!!

Hope all is well anyone from your way comming to the Nationals???

Magic you are not going to miss much up there the same thing will happen as every hunt a certain person will lose and start talking crap about the winning dog in his cast of how he should of could of but didn't win. This person has done it to enough people that pretty soon he will not have any comp. up there and he should win do to the fact he will be alone. then it will be hard to see a coon do to the fact slick trees do not have eyes oh ya congrats on th ebachelor party have fun buddy

These 2 hounds worked track 1hr 15 mins before they got treed they had fox barking close coyotes sounding off close but they stayed with it got treed we could not see up tree but did find some fresh coon tracks about 30yrds from tree in creek so we will plus this one up lol Storm & Splatts only turn of the nite & I will say Splatt is one FINE 9 month old Keep at him Rich he may make a good one !

No luck for rest of nite quit at 4:30 am this morning ! Hunted ALLNITE it has been awhile / felt good hearing a rooster doing the wake up call in a distance waiting for a dog to PLEASE come out of woods or for godsake get treed lol Came out at 4:30 am / tried to get Rich to come in & make breakfest when I got home but he was to tired he wanted to get home so him & Splatt could get there Skippy PB sandwhich & curl up & go nightynite They like their Skippy PB lol

Hi Craig Congrats to you & Magic ! Tell Darren I said congrats to him & Pie Some Nice Females ! Enjoy yourself at your bachelor party ! One drop one coon. Magic ran this track for over an hour and finally came treed with a coon. I think I might start dropping before it gets dark the coons seem to be moving early.

RJ I know exactly what you mean always the same thing.
