Since I sold Brandi on Friday night I hunted Ruby Saturday night, she won her cast but came up short again. Still needs 1 more win.

I gave the other cast away Tim. Made a dumb mistake and it cost me. I sure wasn't expecting it but it happened so congrats to Phil on a ntch win with Bubba. He's a nice hound and we had a good cast.

Ya I know but when the dogs are doing right for the most part and then you mess up it makes it worse or it does to me. Didn't mind loosing at all to Phil and Bubba, but didn't like beating myself like that. Just haven't had much luck with her latly and kind of would like to get on a winning role if you know what I mean.

Katie has been looking real good here lately. This week 7 trees made 7 coon seen. We are holding off on the hunts till the leaves come off. She just wont back a dog on some of these circle trees round here. She leaves I take my minus they circle and cut into Katie as she is loading up under the coon......Her time will come soon and I also need to do a better job on letting her finish the job before I tree her..................Jon

Well if ya trust me with your dog I made the offer when my female comes in heat. Now that I've made another stupid mistake handling, I'm not sure I'm qualified to hunt my own dog let alone anyone elses. You should try and find a kid to hunt her over at the youth hunt. That may be just the luck you need.

Went hunting with Doug Linn late last night, it had cooled down all the way to 92. We hit one track, worked it through the timber across a corn field and into a patch of timber, treed and had the meat. All the girls looked good, Cleo, Slick and Froggy.......Tim

no I'm not gonna be there. I haven't been hunting since Colecamp. I've got a 8hr EPA LEAD SAFE training program Friday in K.C. Then I have to work Sat. and Sun. to pay for the $500.oo class and license.

The good thing about all this is that it is all a team effort. As for my family we are so thankful that the mad dog team has allowed us to be a partof it all. I am starting to see some John II pups at the hunts now, they seem to be placing on a regular basis. The main compliment that I am hearing is that when they tree they stay and have good loud mouths on track and tree.....Tim

Didn't do any good at the hunt this weekend Ruby is doing a lot of split treeing but I am not finding the coon, usually when she trees you will see a coon. That last win is sure coming hard.........Tim
