hot and humid day here ridge just got done with the feedin brought the bay down spayed her down with hose cool her off a tad need to run me a hot water faucet outside with a shut off really dont like useing all cold water

it was cool this moronin but got up in the high 70s later in the day got the wall up by the time we got tools and extra blocks loaded got in the house at 10; 45 tonite im tuckered out hopefuly i get to ride a couple hrs tommoro

Our peach trees didn't have much on them....none of the fruit trees did, a late frost got 'em.
It was cool and cloudy here today, suppose to rain tomorrow.
Saw OK got hit by tornado(es) last night and bad weather is coming east...looks like its staying south of here.

went up to feed somebody done broke in the feedroom bay mare ate a bunch of fed i give her 2 bottles of mineral oil while waiting on the vet he said she showin all good signs no temp not showing any discomfort said she has a lot of gas in her large bowel which means it passin through im gonna keep her in the barn till right before dark give her 2 more bottles of mineral oil she went right to eatin when i turn her loose so put her in the barn till i give her the last 2 bottles for the nite dumped the water trough out so she can't have any water till tommoro somebody gonna get hurt if i catch em up there i still gotta check see if they stole anything

have not been catfishing in awhile but the river here by the house is getting right to go..hope to get to go next week...just got done putting up 26 pints of plum jelly..thats all of those..start on the peaches tomorrow evening..

We went fishing yesterday, darn expensive trip! My eye glasses went overboard and drowned, need to call the optometrist and hope he can get me in ASAP.

HB, how's ur bay doing? Did anything get stolen? I was in my tack shed a couple of days ago and saw a saddle I thought I sold. Got looking and I have 8 saddles for 1 horse. Might break down and try to sell a couple, but then because of past experience, will have to start locking up everything. Usually, we don't lock the house unless we're leaving for the day and always leave the keys in the vehicles, unless we see someone escaped from the youth detention center 20 miles away or a local prison.

nothing was missing that i can tell right now the bay is doing good just got lucky that it didn't do damage or she die but i was putin the mineral oil down her before the vet came think what saved her was her temp wasn't high or her blood pressure if her blood pressure woulda been high she would have foundered for sure i started her back on a low amout of feed keep her that way for a spell then start increase it a bit over a period of time got a lock on the barn and the feedroom

Rex, that's alot of jelly! I made hot pepper jelly a couple of yrs ago, we don't eat much jelly, I gave most of it away. The only reason I made it was because the peppers I bought were supposed to be grn bell peppers, but they were labeled wrong....didn't know what else to do with them.

HB, that's good news ur mare is ok. I've had horses for almost 50 yrs and happy to say only twice did I have one or more get into the feed room. Didn't have any colic or founder from it.

ridge the kids and grandkids go through jelly around here like its water...we put up around a 100 jars when the fruit crop is good..we put up 20 more jars of jelly last night..it sure is getting dry here ,sure could use some rain

went squirrel hunting this morning ..killed 3 nice young greys..two were in hickory trees and the other was in my peach tree. seasons been in since the first of this month..ive only been 3 times..grandkids will be here in a couple hours to spend the night..wont be hunting in the morning....
